Conservatives and liberals love America together

We are all American (unless you're not and reading this anyway), and we share some of the most basic, foundational views on the world together. We've fought through WWII together and freed the slaves together. We fought for civil rights for all backgrounds and have died together for religious freedom. Most importantly we uphold the right to free speech; our most favored right of all. Sure we disagree on some laws, but when Iran, North Korea, al-Qaeda, China, or Russia wants to play hard ball, we put aside our petty differences as we have against the nawtzees and we fight for what we all believe in: freedom. Twisted Love is an idiot who has no world perspective. Liberals and conservatives respectfully disagree, no one wants to kill members of the other party except for those void of all sanity.

  • Many of the obstacles we've overcome were only obstacles in their latter stages because of political divides. The civil rights movement was staunchly opposed by the Old Democrats as was the 13th amendment. I recognize that, despite our differences in ideology, most conservatives and liberals genuinely love their country and are simply asserting different ways to improve it. However, there are many blatantly unpatriotic Republicans that will cheat the process not because they have genuine ideals, but because they have corporate backers who fund their campaigns. Anyone who makes voting more difficult in a country where incidents of voter fraud are remarkably low is not patriotic. Anyone who gerrymanders districts to win more seats in Congress despite receiving fewer votes (Republicans 2012) is unpatriotic. (Although Democrats are guilty of gerrymandering as well). Anyone who suggests that America as a Christian nation and its government should espouse its dogma is unpatriotic. However, two people who genuinely disagree on the way the economy should function are perfectly patriotic. Anyone who disagrees with abortion is not unpatriotic. There are bounds of reason, and often those bounds are crossed.
