After seeing how the LAPD is shooting up every truck in sight, there's a million dollar bounty, and drones are being called in, I got to thinking: Dorner will never go to trial. He won't be sentenced for his crimes, or get to explain himself to a judge, or even possibly get mental treatment. The LAPD will just kill him on the spot, even if he tries to surrender. They're too scared of this "dirty cop-killer" to let him live once they catch up to him.
Thoughts?

I would be interested in seeing/knowing the makeup and command structure of the "task force" that has been put together to hunt for him. If this is an LAPD operation outside of their city limits, then I believe that the governor should step in an restructure the command chain and ensure that there is not a hint or possibility of impropriety or corruption in the task force. If the CHP or other organization has the structure and manpower to take command and integrate manpower from other forces, that would be a good thing. I also believe that the internal LAPD review of the subjects allegations should be partnered with DoJ in order to prevent or reduce any chances or accusations of a whitewash of cover-up.
The LAPD will just kill him on the spot, even if he tries to surrender.
Which they should. Hes a threat to the public. Hopefully they light him up until he isnt even recognizable anymore.

Does anyone else think Dorner found a secluded area, and then just killed himself?
-
Wait what? Drones? In america?

I'm not so sure. It all depends on where Dorner is caught. The guy has driving training from the police, as well as boating and aviation training from the Navy. He could be anywhere by now.

They actually want him alive
-
If the dude surrenders peacefully they will shoot him and plant a gun on him. Either that or they will say he offed him self.
-
LAPD has something to hide, for sure.

Am I the only one mildly impressed he's still alive?

Perhaps not Though it isn't the same here's a guy that kidnapped a girl, -blam!- her for four days, and led police on a wild chase in that area for days and lived to see sentencing and is carrying out his sentence. I don't doubt that they'd shoot him on sight though, even if he comes out and surrenders.

Funny, that's nearly exactly what I said. Here

Of course he won't be taken in. If he walks out with his arms raised and shouting surrender they'll blow him away right there and they wouldn't even have to make up a story about it to cover it. Whether he wants to or not, he won't be taken alive.
