the U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be 'senior operational leaders' of al-Qaida or 'an associated force'
When they say "believed", how strongly are they using that word?

 • The entire thing is made as vague as possible, lol. What qualifies as recent activity? What kind of activity, or relation to an activity, poses a threat? What makes capture of the target unfeasible? In what cases is non-lethal action an undue risk? i dunno lol

 • If we go by the Patriot Act, then the President can simply say "this man is an enemy combatant" and that's it.

 • Really sounds like the US has avoided the Police State and went directly to Martial Law. There is a lot of discussion about crappy little helicopter drones to be used by police over here, but in the US you have god dam predator drones being operated by the police. I don't know how it looks on the inside but on the outside America is going down hill VERY quickly, that whole "Freedom" thing is quickly becoming a joke for the rest of the world.
