  • Very much. You have no idea how creepy it feels to be able to stalk someone online.

I don't seem to value it at all.. I always let things like google, Facebook, Firefox, apple use my data and I put my first and last name and my location down to the city I live in in my XBL profile and I also put my first and last name in youtube without hesitation I also linked everything into my b.net profile.

    • Let's see, I use Firefox configured with NoScript, BetterPrivacy, AdBlock, Cookie Monster, Https-Everywhere, RefControl, RequestPolicy, and Web of Trust. I also refuse to use Google and Facebook. So yeah, I value privacy and security a lot.

    • To be honest, i wouldn't care that much if indeed (for example) Google would track all the searches i made on there. As long as they get their data, it doesn't affect me. Even all the Pronz hehe :p. I could also care less if Facebook would use my info for their own purposes. As long as i as a person don't get involved with any of it. It is important to me though, that only my Facebook friends could check my pictures and/or info like my e-mail and phone number. I'm not 100% sure that's the case, but oh well. Oh and about this anonymity on forums, i could care less. I don't necessarily want you guys to completely know who i am and where i live, but i posted my picture here a few times already, so i'm pretty ok with that sort of thing. I'm no internet a-hole. As long as most of my friends don't know i'm a Legendary Mything Member or whatever, on a off topic forum on a game website haha. Since, gaming or forums in general are still perceived as a thing for the ''nerds'' among us, it would kind of hurt my social status if people would know :P. So yeah.

    • As long as no one is watching me jerk off through my webcam I'm good.

    • How do you mean? Amongst other, casual internet users (like in this forum)? Or amongst large corporations like google and facebook which harvest data collected from you and others?

    • Very little at all. While I enjoy the prospect of anonymity, I treat all interaction with the internet as if I am representing myself in a public forum. Far too many people assume that a username is enough protection to unleash all the negative traits you hide from the rest of the world.
