A cane sword? I believe knives in virginia are only legal to carry if they are under the length equivelent to the width of your palm, or 5" or less. second it falls under a concealed weapon, and it most certainly is over the length rule. Id guess no it isnt legal to carry. Why are you getting one, do you actually need a cane to walk? Yes i am a Virginia resident.

  • I like collecting different kinds of knives and swords. And I don't need it to walk, I just like it for style.

  • Go ahead and buy it, but im betting it is illegal to walk around with it. At least here in hampton roads i would suspect.

Hm...i'm starting to wonder how close to me you live. And I think I'd be fine as long as I didn't pull it on a random person, which I have no intentions to. Besides, I already carry two knives on a regular basis. I'm good for self-defense.

I work in portsmouhth, and live in norfolk. I do carry a knife, but its for utility purposes, my defense comes from the .45 i conceal carry.

  • Ah, high caliber...I just don't like guns that much, really. I will, however, admit that they are more efficient than knives, though. For defense purposes, anyway.

  • Meh i wouldnt consider a .45 hi caliber, but to each their own. But yes, they are great defensive items, since if someone knows you carry, they are far less likely to try to do anything malicious.

  • I won't be the one to disagree with you, I just don't have any natural favor to them, as opposed to blades which i've always had a natural attraction to for as long as I can remember.
