I loved the story in the first Mass Effect, but I was unfortunate enough to chronicle the sad decline of the series over the next two titles. Such a shame, but there are plenty of lessons to be learned from those games for not only future Mass Effect installments but future IPs as well.

You like the more RPG style of the first game, eh? While the combat system took major strides in the second game and inventory management became easier, they did make it less unique. I miss all of my options, but not the Mako.

Completely agree. Knowing they're continuing on with another game in the Mass Effect Universe I can only hope that any future installment is as story driven as the first title was.
