Each generation less and less people are becoming religious (in America at least). People are recognizing science and calculable, observable facts, rather than words from thousands of years ago on absurd stuff.
Religion as a concept is outdated, and it's inevitable that eventually, it will be gone from most developed countries. The question is, when do you think it'll happen?

People will begin to think that if there is no higher power judging them and if they are their own, then who is to say what's right and wrong. Right and wrong will be blurred as they decide what each on is for themselves. They will think they are the gods of their own lives and basic morals will diminish over the years until society is just a mess. Some may try to maintain their human decency but they will be outweighed by those who don't. I'm not saying this will happen all of a sudden. I mean over a time-frame of decades or maybe even a century or two if religion is abolished. NOTE: This is my OPINION.
