Posted by: lord of dahorde This must have taken a long time to write.
Well, I didn't write it all at once. I wrote it over a very long period of time. It started as me finding a thread of like 3 or 4 really funny posts, so I made a little .txt document and put them in there for future laughter. Then, I started doing that for all the funny posts that I saw. Or at least most of them. Then, when the document got to have a few hundred, I made a thread on The Flood with it. Unfortunately, it died. But then, my list grew again, and my simple little .txt was a good 2 KB of pure quotes. So, I once again made another thread. Once again, it died. Finally, when my .txt was about 4 KB, I made one final thread as a last ditch effort, and BAM! It got stuck on the top forum topics list, and now the community does a lot of the work for me. Now all I have to do is take what they give me and put it at the bottom of my most recent post.
BTW, A Dumb Door's guide to making my life easier if you are submitting a quote: Step 1: Press reply to a funny quote. Be sure that it is funny even out of context. Step 2: Press the quote button under the box where you type in text. Make sure that the quote has appeared. Step 3: Delete all unnecessary returns. Due to a strange commodity with Bungie.net, it only allows a certain number of lines, regardless of characters. Thus, I delete all the blank lines with no text. I even make the posts end to end, so there is no return between the end of quote] and the beginning of the next post. Step 4: Send me the post. There is no real need to explain anything about the post. You can PM me (The preferred method, as I will see it more easily/quickly and you are not subject to ban) or post it in this thread. Do remember, guys. I prefer PM's. I'll still take posts in this thread, but I'd rather have a PM. It makes it easier, since I don't need to hunt through random posts and decipher between whether or not a quote is a submission or just you guys talking. Another note: There is nothing wrong with saving up a few quotes before sending them to me. Make your own little .txt and send me a large sum of quotes in bulk. That's fine with me too.
