Hi Bungie and Community, With the exciting news about older expansions and the Red War campaign returning from the content vault, I wanted to propose a feature that would make this experience unforgettable: an extra set of 3 character slots separate from our main account. As a long-time player, one of my absolute favourite things to do in Destiny 1 after it’s final update, was deleting and recreating characters just to experience the entire leveling journey and story from scratch. I’m currently on my 14th character in D1 (I think) However, in Destiny 2, veterancy, inventory, and years of unlocked triumphs make deleting a main character incredibly difficult as some of us have had these characters since launch, some of my friends that are new to D2 have thought about deleting 1 of their current characters but have been put off due to the shared hidden light lvl. Adding an optional, separate set of 3 character slots specifically designed for a "Fresh Start" would be the perfect solution. It would allow us to: Experience the returning Red War and unvaulted DLC campaigns exactly how they were meant to be played — with zero gear and a fresh leveling experience (I do also want to go back on my original characters to see how things play out with current builds and darkness subclasses) Introduce friends to the game by leveling up side-by-side with them on an even playing field (me and 1 of my friends have been doing this for years on D1) Preserve our thousands of hours of hard work, armor stats, and raid clears on our original 3 main characters. Whether these slots are locked to a separate "Legacy" character select screen or are just bonus slots, it would give veteran players an incredible reason to fall in love with the early game all over again.
