As an active player, I see every day that Destiny 2 refuses to die. The Cosmodrome is constantly welcoming new Guardians, and the Tower remains crowded with a healthy mix of newcomers and long-time veterans. The game still has so much life and a deeply passionate community.
While I understand there may not be massive content expansions currently planned, the game doesn't need huge updates to stay vibrant. A few targeted features would significantly boost player engagement:
Event Rotation: Bring back seasonal events on a regular rotation.
Gear Refresh: Update weapons and armor stats/perks associated with these events.
New Cosmetics: Introduce new cosmetic items to refresh customization options.
Reward Passes: Release a battle/reward pass even if only once every 6 months to give players a concrete goal to grind for.
Simple incentives like these would give the community a fresh reason to jump back in and keep playing. Destiny 2 still has so much to offer—please continue to support this universe and its players.

1 ReplyThere's just under 9k playing on steam. And you see a future for D2 🤣

Great ideas, but if Bungie ever does more Destiny 2 work, I hope Bungie focuses on other things. I'd rather get balance patches to balance subclass usage, ban waves to combat cheaters, fixes to game breaking bugs, and improvements to how quickly engrams are earned or improved drop rates or focusing for more items. Basically, balance the sandbox, cut down on cheaters, remove glitches, and reduce grind.

5 RepliesTowers are instanced & created on demand so there could be just 30 players online & your tower would be full. They stopped releasing content because it no longer made enough money. It's not as simple as release a season pass, you need artists, testers, economy Devs, & staff we wouldn't even think of, & these staff on Seattle wages of minimum 100k per year (yes DMG posted on twitter 4 years ago he was on 98k a year & he's not even a dev). Numbers have plummeted despite it apparently thriving & they'll only go down from here, not many will be spending & yet it costs millions to keep the game online, it's a matter of time before they shut it all down. They've all but shut the studio as it is if we're being honest.

2 RepliesEdited by Dragokin: 9/17/2026 4:25:50 AMRemoving prismatic... Hear me out... It should have never been a subclass but a system within and between... Allowing the proper mixing of light and dark or a mix of any subclasses uitilizing shards, fragments and aspects In a separate box on the subclass screen to essentially fuse sub classes and "transcending" would allow access the combo grenades melee and super... Ultimately allowing for intended but limited access to any number of broken and entertaining builds... So ya a complete rework of subclasses... And the "removal" of prismatic... Post...

1 ReplyIf you added a new Raid, Dungeon or Exotic quest to this list, you would have a full season.

1 ReplyNaw Sony gave up on Destiny, and soon on Bungie altogether.... Its just a matter of time before total server shutdown.

6 Replies“Destiny 1 Remake” has been on the table for the 3-4 years now. “Destiny 2” is fine for right now, but it just needs a proper Ending or a good lead to next Adventure like we had in “D2”“Red War” (where we lose the Light & gaining New Light, through fragments of the traveler which was a good introduction that D1 life was over and D2 was a new beginning).

1 ReplyI’d be open to support a D1 remaster or maybe another expansion or two from D2. But D2 the game is tired & dated and so is the Guardian’s story. I’m more into a new game with new locations, new cast of NPCs, new loot, and a completely new Guardian’s story. Set it 1000’s of years after the events of the witness and everyone has past on.
