Marathon is starting to feel like a true Bungie game
So the Marathon updates and delay were revealed today and all I can say is FINALLY! I have been following this game from the beginning and was extremely disappointed when it released. Now it finally feels like Bungie is working it's magic. I think Joe Zeigler leaving was a God send. Now we have a social space, true Pve mode, and a true PvP mode that isnt extraction. After who knows how long I am finally excited for Marathon. I can't wait to play the team deathmatch! Just please no SBMM. Good luck Bungie, always rooting for you guys!

2 RepliesI like that the are diversifying away from hardcore extraction, as that stuff gets me as excited as a gravel sandwich, but it’s gonna take a lot more to make it a Bungie game on the PvE side. Unless the invest on a full campaign experience, for now I see that game as just a patchwork of interconnected game modes, but I fail to see the cohesion. I wish for the game to grow and I would love to play it should it move away from its hardcore extraction roots.

3 RepliesArena PvP has me interested, but they’ve called it “experimental” and it’s going to be really rough being a noob playing against people who have a huge head start on everything. I’m going to wait and see if it has legs before I consider jumping into all that punishment. I wasn’t impressed with the PvE element of extraction. I thought it was basic and boring. Nowhere close to Destiny. It needed a lot of work to justify a PvE only mode (I haven’t seen any recent gameplay). I anticipate basic versions of PvP and PvE for a while yet. I hope they get time to turn things around. Maybe I’ll jump onboard at some point, but I’m not there yet.
