Characters missing on PS5 after disabling Cross Save - need help confirming account
I need help with my Destiny 2 characters after disabling Cross Save.
I originally started Destiny 2 on Xbox. I later moved to PS5 and have been playing exclusively on PS5 for some time with Cross Save enabled.
My three current characters were created/played while I was on PS5, but my Xbox account was apparently the Active Cross Save account.
Recently I tried to join a clan and they were unable to see my characters. I was advised that I should disable Cross Save so that my PlayStation account could become my primary/default account.
I disabled Cross Save, and immediately afterward my Destiny 2 characters disappeared when I logged into PS5.
I now understand that Cross Save does not actually transfer characters between platforms, and I believe my characters may actually belong to the Xbox character set because Xbox was the Active Cross Save account when they were created.
I have not deleted any characters and I do not want to create new characters or make any additional account changes until Bungie can confirm where my existing characters are.
Can Bungie Help please check my account and confirm:
Whether my existing characters are currently attached to my Xbox Destiny profile.
Whether there is any way to restore my previous Cross Save configuration so I can access those characters on PS5.
If the 90-day Cross Save cooldown cannot be removed, whether there is any other supported way for me to access my existing characters on PS5 during that period.

Checking your account in our system, we can confirm your Xbox account was indeed your former Active Account, which explains why you no longer see your Xbox characters when logging in on PSN since disabling Cross Save. If you wish to set up Cross Save anew as it was previously, you will need to wait out the mandatory cooldown for disabling Cross Save plus any cooldowns for recent purchases. After waiting out these cooldowns, you will once again be able to set up Cross Save. That said, while you wait out the cooldowns during the time Cross Save is disabled, your characters will still be available to you, but only on their original platforms. Therefore, your Xbox characters would be available to you only on Xbox. Also, please note these cooldowns cannot be expedited or removed under any circumstances, with no exceptions. 1 ReplyYeah that's how cross save works, once set up you were accessing your Xbox characters through playstation and by disabling you lost access to them. No chance at all of reducing the 90 day wait if it applies.
