Destiny 1 – TAPIR error on PS5, Destiny 2 works normally
Hi,
I'm unable to connect to Destiny 1 on PS5. Every attempt to sign in results in error code TAPIR.
Destiny 1 has previously worked on this PS5, although I'm not sure exactly when I last played it.
Destiny 2 works normally on the same PS5 and internet connection.
So far I have tried:
Restarting the PS5 and router
Checking for Destiny updates
Restoring PlayStation licences
Clearing the PS5 cache/full power cycle
Confirming the PS5 reports NAT Type 2
Connecting the PS5 directly over Wi-Fi instead of through my powerline adaptors
Removing manual port-forwarding rules and allowing UPnP to handle the connection
Connecting the PS5 to my mobile phone hotspot, using a completely different internet connection
Is anyone else currently able to log into Destiny 1 on PlayStation? Could this be an account/entitlement issue or a problem with the Destiny 1 PlayStation services?
Any advice on what else I can check would be appreciated.
