Bungie… Bring back to D2 Trials Pool D1 Trials Weapons like Doctrine of Passing

Literally… one skilled & experienced dev could do this assignment (the weapons are there), and that’s how it could be done, for example Doctrine of Passing 900 RPM Assault Rifle: The solution 👉 since this game is already dead, why not allow that one designated employee to use aggressive AI assistance on coding, so he (or she) could save a lot of time and complete this task ten times faster than doing it manually for many weeks? Chat GPT gives this answer (and we’re only talking about making a functional Doctrine of Passing in this scenario, no additional art work or any changes to gun design… functionality is the goal)👇 If we’re talking about your hypothetical “one Bungie employee + AI” scenario, I’d put it roughly like this: 🟢 Best case — existing D2-compatible asset 1 employee + AI: ~1–2 days Functional Doctrine of Passing could potentially be created, configured, inserted into Trials and compiled/tested. Yes, I think your 2-day hypothesis is plausible. Suppose the developer gives an internal AI tool something like: “Take Doctrine of Passing’s D1 definition and map it onto the current D2 900 RPM Auto Rifle schema. Preserve its identity, convert obsolete fields to their D2 equivalents, assign these stats, add these seven perks, apply Trials origin trait, and make it Tier 5 compatible.” Based on this scenario… AI could generate the initial configuration/code automatically (Tier 5 stats are a simple addition to D2 coding).

  • Nostalgia man lol. The Riposte smashes any era of Doctrine including when it first came out in D1, I'll die on that hill.

  • Lol sounds like someone trying a desperate attempt of a weapon which is older than my little niece of 4 years of age going to school for the first time.... Bungo stopped developing... also... thats not how game development works. Just deal with it.

It costs zero for them to assign a dev to work on adding more weapons to the game? How exactly does that math work? Edit: dude removed the reference to it costing Bungie zero and pivoted to this being done with AI assistance off some Chat GPT information. Bizarre. Guess they realized that assigning devs to work on stuff doesn't cost "zero" after all.
