All the hackers came out to play.

I’ve never experienced the level of cheaters in any game (even PuBG) that are in crucible right now. I’ve had tons of games since yesterday that are just unplayable due to multiple hackers in the game. Most games aren’t showing up - for whatever reason Iron Banner’s new game mode isn’t tracking so I can’t review the player lists. It’s so bad that fireteams of hackers are out there ruining people’s games. Is Bungie enforcing any bans or just letting PvP go up in flames?

Lemme check off my bingo card in the comments, here. "Nobody's cheating you're just bad" "I checked his stats, they look normal" "Play on console, there's not cheaters on console!" "Well I don't run into cheaters" "You have a 1.0 k/d, so they're not cheating" "The radar tells you if someone's above you because it's slightly lower opacity" "Maybe the 2 hour old account just has good map knowledge" "It's just lag"

    • This IB they have come out in force. I tend to generally give the players the benefit of the doubt... but I have seen quite a few that are definitely running mild cheats like aimbot and constant healing. Even a couple youtube streamers were in some of those games, and ended up leaving due to it. The current state of cheats in the game really puts a sour taste in my mouth. Players have been locking onto me instantly, and never missing a shot. Even if I am playing very elusive, I just get hit the moment line of sight is made at any height. I think its more than skill at this point, and some of these lobbies feel like its multiple players at a time not even in the same party.

    • Found a clan of cheaters, they use the names of famous streamers, even the name of the clan mimics a famous one; from infinite heavy to aimbot, they seem to play just to wreak havoc...

Yeah, it's gotten a bit worse -- used to only see it in Trials/Competitive, very, very rarely in casual playlists. Just came from a Control game a few games ago where some guy was walking around with a Prometheus Lens holding down the fire button and shooting everybody through walls; was barely trying to hide it - was hilariously pathetic, can only imagine them patting themself on their own shoulder telling themself how cool they were.

      • No, they’re not console and PC gamers should be separate. All they have to do is click on a mouse with their aim bot. Also, now I raise my gun to shoot somebody in it completely disappears like I’m in the tower personally I don’t know why people wanna play the game cheating unless they’re a little -blam!- that thinks it’s funny. I won’t be playing it anymore.

It's just lag due to the crappy nature of the peer-to-peer architecture. Bungie made a bad product and dealt with it by handing out temporary suspensions to quitters rather than fixing the defective product.
