Hello!
Ive tried contacting and seen other people get help with this in the past through the this page.
I was trying to enable the companion app for destiny 2 on my xbox account.
As i linked the xbox account to bungie.net it immeadiatley brought it into cross save. This was not intentional. It pulled my progress from ps5 over to xbox. Which is really problematic because me and my fiancé play together on those two accounts. I’ve recently bought all dlcs on both of the seperate accounts and been a big supporter of the franchise since early d1 days. and it really sucks for us as destiny was really fun for us, but this leaves us unable to play together for 2 months. My cooldown is currently on 58 days for a too recent silver purchase. I dont mind if it takes away all my silver even if thats the only option.
Is there any way you guys at bungie could help us resolve this? If there is can you get the xbox and playstation progress seperated again? Or deactivate cross save as a whole? As her account is xbox and mine is on playstation? Thanks to you people at bungie again for making a game like destiny.
Please?
Best reggards
Yours truly william

Edited by viiTactiiCZz: 8/2/2026 4:05:20 PMDuring cross-save setup you accepted that you cannot deactivate cross-save until 90 days after its purchase, regardless of if that purchase happened before activation - https://i.imgur.com/WtgnUQl.png Bungie will not get involved as the cooldown is considered mandatory. When the 58 day cooldown expires and you deactivate cross-save, all accounts will go back to having their own progress but this also means you cannot use your PSN progress on Steam. You also will not be able to unlink the Xbox account from your Bungie profile because Bungie removed the ability to unlink any platform account except Twitch on March 25th 2025. Any future cross-save activation will be all or nothing, so your Xbox account will have to be included in it if you want to use your PSN characters on Steam, like you were already doing before you linked the Xbox account. As for the video - its basically outdated and irrelevant now. During the initial rollout months of cross-save Bungie were pretty involved in helping to fix problems but Bungie stopped getting involved in cross-save issues besides informing people of the cooldowns and reviewing setups (ie checking if an account is actually included) around a year or so after that. Out of curiosity, why did you link the Xbox account?
