As the title states, I feel like I've been unfairly banned due to something outside of my control. Lately I've been farming Shaders in IB because there's one I'm after. Starting yesterday I started getting near constant error codes (Kale, Grape, Rabbit) and my first response while on a discord call was to restart the router due to these network errors. It worked a little but only popped up in PvP. Today I launched the game and had the game crash twice. I verified the files and got almost to the point of starting when I got error Kale and a Suspension. I'm not having network errors with discord or any other game I tried so It's just D2 that's having problems

1 ReplyEdited by Crisidelm: 8/3/2026 11:56:03 AMHave you been suspended, restricted or banned? These three options are vastly different... Suspensions last 30 to 60 minutes. Can't be appealed. Restrictions are 2 weeks or 2 months. Bans are permanent. Both can be appealed.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! These error codes typically signify you’re encountering a broad networking problem. We recommend you refer to our Network Troubleshooting Guide to explore potential solutions to your problem: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496531-Network-Troubleshooting-Guide If you're still having trouble after consulting the guide above, please follow our Advanced Troubleshooting Connection Guide and make sure you have the proper ports open: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496751-Advanced-Troubleshooting-UPnP-Port-Forwarding-and-NAT-Types If you're still experiencing the issue after trying this out, unfortunately, the only remaining option is to contact your internet service provider for further troubleshooting.

Can confirm he's not a cheater. We were trying to play some Iron Banner together yesterday and he kept getting "contacting Destiny servers" then getting hit with error codes after getting kicked to orbit, then threatened with bans, even when this happened in the loading screen, when it's still the ships before the match even starts. He's on a wired connection, tried resetting his router, but it kept happening so eventually we gave up and we played some Renegades content, vanguard ops, then ran a dungeon with another friend, and the entire time we were doing non-IB stuff his connection was just fine, and there was even a span where he and I were screensharing in discord during the dungeon which you'd think would also tax the connection, but nope, everything was fine. It was just when trying to play Iron Banner. It should be easy enough to confirm this since I know that info is logged somewhere since apps like Braytech can show activity history, so if someone could have a look at the logs, you can see he wasn't doing anything shady; just trying to grind for one of the shaders.
