Today is a day that I would never have thought along my way in gaming that I would live through as a fan. Bungie I was 19 a long time ago when I discovered the story you started with in Halo. From being all about campaign, local multiplayer, to the first time playing online in Halo 2. The stories you told through gaming made things I was fighting more manageable at the time. The memories of getting the boys together online, driving down the street with my TV and Xbox in my car to post up in my friends garage for an all night gaming session. Great times that can’t be erased regardless of what’s happening now. Bungie day is also my birthday so I find that all too funny as well. Again, great times with the community you’ve built around making core memories. Bungie you created that with Destiny and I thank all of you for creating a game that has more life in it than others may not suspect. I know we have had bad times during this great parade you’ve built. I’m pretty sure there are things that happened in meetings you didn’t expect to deal with but went along to see how you can influence later to make it your own way. Business can be great and sometimes it can be cold. I’m a fan that did get upset, did take a break from what I enjoyed to do on my free time and down time. I’m also a fan that would never thought my son of two and half years old would play a Halo game in an arcade and actually say “Spaceship Daddy!” with a game I grew up with. To all the creators that had a hand of art, music, game dev’s, writers, team leaders, directors, administrators and management that made this your passion. Thank you for giving all us the time we spent playing a video game that meant more than just a video game. Even when we bad mouthed you, it was a form of love.
