Overload weapons no longer apply exhaust or stop abilities. This also applies to the Overload Grenades perk despite it stating otherwise.
Barrier weapons no longer penetrate through enemies.
This decreases the player's ability to apply and base a gameplan on exhaust, and it decreases the effectiveness of some weapons that used to benefit from these effects greatly, like Revision Zero no longer being able to hit multiple enemies in one sniper shot.
Since text in the game still references these effects, and there was no mention in recent articles of them being removed, the expectation is that these effects should still exist.

Hello there, Thanks for the report. From what I can see, these may actually be two separate issues rather than one single anti-Champion bug. For Overload, the loss of Exhaust does not appear to be accidental. Overload lost that effect because the new instant / widely available Overload access made the damage-reduction portion too strong to keep as a free extra debuff. So if Overload weapons and Overload Grenades are no longer applying Exhaust, that part looks intentional rather than broken. That said, if in-game text still says Overload should apply Exhaust or reduce outgoing damage, that would sound like a string / description issue and worth cleaning up. For Anti-Barrier, the current anti-Champion behavior notes still describe Piercing as overpenetrating once and going through combatant shields, and there are also newer bug fixes specifically preserving Anti-Barrier inheritance so projectiles continue to overpenetrate shields correctly. Because of that, if Barrier weapons are no longer penetrating enemies at all, that part does sound worth a closer look. So the short version is: Overload no longer applying Exhaust looks intentional, but the text may now be misleading. Anti-Barrier no longer penetrating sounds more like the part that may actually be bugged. Thanks for calling both out clearly.
