Bungie Name is Redacted
My Bungie name got redacted after opening the Marathon Server Slam.
My previous Name was [b]Cyberfox863#9567[/b]. This is not against TOS or any policies placed by Bungie as it does not Mention Bungie or impersonate a Bungie employee, is not identifying information, is not hate speech, does not contain implicit or explicit -blam!- terms, web addresses or profanity. (Taken from [url]https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/7648312251284-Bungie-Name-Guide[/url]).
I have also created a ticket on the bungie help site and have received an email confirmation that it has been created with the ticket id.
Trying to change the name back manually, does not achieve anything as the website gives a popup that says [b]The original bungie name is not a valid bungie name.[/b]
I would like to have my original name back as soon as possible.

Edited by BNGHelp3: 4/8/2026 12:24:26 PMHello there[url=https://tuxydoh.com/images/hi.gif],[/url] A name reset to default like that means it was detected or reported, reviewed by Bungie and reset to"[b]Redacted####[/b]", that indicates that some part of the name broke the [url=https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Legal/CodeOfConduct]Code of Conduct[/url] or the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/7648312251284-Bungie-Name-Guide]Bungie Name Policy[/url], was filtered, and [b]cannot/should not be used again.[/b] When that happens, you get the new name cross play message in-game as notice of the name change. If you'd like to appeal your name change please view the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48629]Appeal Ban or Restriction Contact Form[/url] and make sure to select that your Bungie Name was changed. Beyond this forums are unable to assist
