Hey Bungie,
BattlEye has officially supported Linux/Proton since 2021. Titles like DayZ, ARK, PlanetSide 2, and War Thunder run on Linux with BattlEye enabled today.
I'm not asking for a native Linux port. I'm asking: Has Bungie evaluated enabling the existing BattlEye Proton compatibility layer for Destiny 2?
Quick context:
- BattlEye + Proton is production-ready (official since 2021)
- Multiple BattlEye titles explicitly support Linux/Proton
- Steam Deck has 4M+ users; Linux gaming share is growing
- This would be a config toggle in BattlEye/EOS, not a port
If this can be enabled: Could this be forwarded to the anti-cheat team?
If not: Is the decision technical, security-related, or resource prioritization?
Even a "not planned" with a brief why helps. Transparency respects players.
Thanks for reading.
