I uninstalled this game 5 years ago. I started playing it 3 months ago, and am going to uninstall again after the guardian games are over if I continue to experience the unbalanced lobbies in the crucible that I've been experiencing. It's not fun. I payed $64 after taxes for all the content the game has available from the witch Queen through Renegades. What I've experienced in the crucible over the last 3 months, that's an easy goodbye to that money I've spent. Not gonna pay for dungeon keys when I've experienced over and over again the fact that if I don't have a 3.0 kda in every game I play I will lose. 80% of the time that I don't have a 2.5 kd, 3.0 kda + how's that fair to me. I used to be a 1.0 kd player but I learned to play my life I'm not the best player in the world by any means but I constantly have to face the best players in the world that average over 25 kills per game when I'm lucky to average 10 kills per game in control but I'm still expected to constantly run for my life 60% of the time because of purely inadequate matchmaking and lobby balancing. Why was Halo 3 the most balanced lobby matchmaking I ever played? The game came out over 20 years ago!!! You have failed from your original reputation you created with halo, miserably failed! Your lobby balancing is horrible. I couldn't tell you how many games I've quit out of in control this season. Probably a minimum of a couple hundred and I can guarantee 70% of those games my team was getting a mercy rule applied to us. 25% completely inadequate connections. And 5% had to do with dudes who exploited inadequate armor and weapon balancing. No other pvp game that I know of or have ever played allowed a join in progress to fill in for those who left. So with all that being said with the 15,000 plus games I played in Halo 3, over the different span of accounts I had. I experienced very few steaktaculars. Now in Destiny 2 I experience being staked on or being the team that steaktaculars the other team 50+% of the games. Ive played in quickplay in season 28, 2000 plus total crucible games almost 3,000 if I'm not mistaken. And 1,500 plus steaktaculars I've experienced. No ******* way man. My original Xbox gamertag was, manifest 666. Even on that main account I can almost guarantee you in 10,000 games played I did not experience more than 1,500 steaktaculars. In less than a third of the pvp games I've experienced the most inadequate lobby balancing of any game I've ever played in my 22 years of gaming experience. Connection based matchmaking is awful, especially when the 90% of the games I've played have been at least one or more guys with dog water connections. Dear God do something fast 🙏 Bungie has lost their touch with reality on how to maintain a pvp game mode. With Marathon failing and a negative margin over $190,000,000 to just break even on the cost to make the game the owner of Sony is bound to lay all of you off and build from within on the engine you guys built. The beta along with the destiny 2 pvp matchmaking persuaded me into not purchasing marathon with those two factors combined. No way was I spending money on something you put out again Bungie, especially when you can't even fix the current game you had out. I'd rather buy 2 domino's pizzas than purchase Marathon. All of this is coming from what once was a dedicated Bungie fan. You should act swiftly and persuade myself and millions of fans who no longer play destiny 2 and refuse to buy Marathon so many of us once loved your games sooooo much Bungie!!!! Psssst a majority of your fans are PVP fans and think that PVE is cool here and there! DONT forget the first major MLG game was the Halo franchise bring yourselves back to your roots and long live Bungie <3 otherwise it will be good luck with he rest of your life and so long farewell to those of you at Bungie.

Edited by MARS (Adept): 4/3/2026 2:19:30 PMIt’s good you deleted the game 5 years ago. Apparently you didn’t spend the time learning punctuation. No one is reading that wall of text. I’m either happy for you or sad for you.

You're a whiny -blam!- who's self entitled and is part of the problem, not the solution. Good for you to re-uninstall D2, it thanks you for your money now -blam!- off.

Wait... You didn't play for 5 years, you came back and you feel like you're getting your butt handed to you in PvP... and you're not understanding that? Everybody wins some & Everybody loses some. Play Control. You could literally just run around, never shooting your gun every single match, and get a 0.0 KDA every match, and you're still going to end up with approximately a 50% W/L rate. I guarantee you.

Ain’t reading all dat, happy for you though or sorry that happened…

Dont compare Destiny PvP to Halo. D2 PvP is designed to snowball, from the weapon perks, to abilities/supers. The more you kill, the more powerful you get and easier it is to chain the kills. Lobby balancing, is always an issue though. The one SBMM list, is hardly playable due to having the worst connection quality, and with a lower playercount, it is still pulling in the outliers after searching for a game more than 3 minutes. Just with worse connection due to the initial restriction. There is no CBMM in the game really, non SBMM playlists say connection based, but it really just pulls the first players that it finds into the match. The connection focus is so broad, that it really doesnt do much if anything. The Bungie of Halo is not present in the Bungie of Destiny. Actually, the Bungie of Destiny is not present in the Bungie of Destiny... they are all on Marathon now. The Bungie attending to Destiny are replacements for the replacements. D2 PvP is more or less solved, you just need to figure out which flavor of cheese you want to play with, and dive fully into it. If you havent played for a while, then verse yourself with the new flavors... and dont take it seriously at all, that would only lead to frustration.
