Is Witherhoard good for pve?

If you're into oob exploring at all, witherhoard breaching can lead to some cool places. I know you're asking about damage/build wise but thought I'd toss it in for anyone else.

I've always enjoyed it. It's been nerfed many times etc but it still feels good to use & has great animation & sound. The catalyst REALLY makes the fun tho. For me, auto-load is my top pick for any special or hvy weapons.

Meh… if have to take a GL it’s Motif at the moment. Auto loading + attrition orbs is amazing for utility and quite potent against red bars.

Yes. Damage over time is a slept on mechanic in this game.

1 ReplyIn Bait and Switch DPS rotations. Outside of that, not really. Its strength is dealing passive damage while you DPS with other weapons. The ad clear potential is okay at best. One shot is enough to deal with tankier enemies in most content.

Its average. Area denial GL are better overall. They cover more Aoe, not exotic, choice between add clear perks or dps perks. Synergizes with subclasses thanks to their elements as well. Rip witherhoard.

First due to pvp the duration of the blight pool got reduced from like 8 seconds down to only about 3-4 Then they nerfed auto loading in general to make way for other reload perks (This has now been reverted) Then due to people using kinetic over strand and stasis weapons they removed the kinetic damage buff against high tier targets And finally they added in Area Denial frame gls which basically just summon 6 smaller pools of elemental damage for about 6 seconds and can be spread out in a large area. Edit: Also enemies are tankier now a days. Before witherhoard stick could kill a major now in a lot of endgame it either takes half or more likely only a quarter of the enemies health. Making the stick function not too strong now either.

In my experience it was pretty good support exotic... Adds... Yellow bars... And you can use it to protect yourself to as most ads run from AOE... It has a built-in auto load type deal so it can reduce down time on reloading... On direct hits it can deal some consistent damage to things and if you're lucky the dropped blight can stick to another add ... But not going to lie I haven't used it in a long time ...not because it was bad mind you I just am always switching things up to stave off being bored

If so then you pretty much just have to shoot one gun to reload it and it’s even better with bait and switch, I mean I did around 93k as a support hunter using tether and still some how got close to two titans with 114-117k

Depends how you planning to use it Single target damage? It's fine with the right build Add clear? Just use a MOTIF-41 with either incandescent+heal clip or incandescent+auto loading holster
