Silence is not golden.
The continued silence on the roadmap of Destiny is not going to bode well for Bungie or their new game since if they want players to trust that there will be communication that their non responsive attitude in their current one is a clear roadmap of things to come. The true reason Destiny and Marathon are going to both go away like a bad fart is because of very poor management from the top where they think players will be interested when in fact players have lost interest long before this. No one cares about a game where the developer doesn’t answer questions but instead ignores the community they say they want interact with but don’t. Marathon is a nonstarter if Bungie doesn’t even care about their current game, its players, the cheaters who plague it or even fixing the current issues.

FWIW: My 2d worth… Anyone who has worked in a company that rumours of a closure or a pending merger or a takeover, were running rampant and unchallenged, recognises the situation… Anyone who has been unceremoniously dumped by a heartless lover who’s been lying and cheating nonstop, knows the feeling and recognises the situation… The common denominator in both of the a/m scenarios is one of ‘radio silence’…and nonstop denials…until the inevitable happens - and you’re out on your ear, regardless of the years of dedicated loyalty and unblemished service, without so much as a ‘by your leave’ or a second glance. 🧐 The recent and increasing flow of comments and videos by the favoured few CCs who are gently presenting the case that D2 really needs to stop…seems more like a controlled PR exercise than anything else…to this old tortoise, at least!? 🤔 The tweet from ‘I can’t apologise enough…’ is more of the same…and, somewhat disingenuous - to me…though in keeping with the current ‘radio silence’ vibe, where, if you’ve (BHQ / Sony) got to say something, say a few empty lines of nothing nonsense…to appease the masses at the gates! 🤫 Tell us the truth - that’s all we want to hear! 👈 It’s not rocket science! Marathon: personally, I like the artwork theme. I will probably play the free weekend trial they previously mentioned…the Rook character might be my pick?! As for paying $40 (+/-) for the game - highly unlikely. Fool me once…🤨 Why on earth would anyone in their right mind support BHQ / Sony in another marathon venture after the way they treated us loyal, paying Customers of Destiny? 😡 The hubris! The greed! The cheek of it! 🤬 SMH 🙄 Looking ahead: I hope I’m wrong and that Destiny’s future is safe and secure…and if it is, I’ll still be pootling around! 😁 If not, then the pending launch of the Steam Game Cube or a return to WarFrame (MR24) is on the cards. Honestly I’m kinda at the point where I don’t care that much anymore, I just spent 7 weeks grinding pinnacle ops for armour with stats where I want them and it pretty much killed what was left of my give a crap. I’m not doing anything drastic like deleting my characters, it’s possible they will turn it around at some point, they’ve done it before. Until that happens I’m out, time to catch up on games I’ve been ignoring to play D2.

Actually it really is. Know why they arent talking? Because they dont have -blam!-. They have names for the next releases if sony funds them. Since they arent talking that means there's nothing. In all destinys ups and downs they've never done a radio silence like this. Its a so long and thanks for all the fish moment.

3 RepliesI have two questions, and the answer to these questions should hopefully illustrate why Bungie isn't saying anything: 1. Do you think Bungie is working on something that is going to fix community sentiments and that they have a solid plan going forward? 2. Do you want to be the person that tells the community if they don't? Nobody wants to be the guy who has to fall on the sword here and tell us that they have nothing planned that will unsink the ship. Now, I want to be wrong here, I desperately, desperately want to be wrong here, but I just don't believe that Bungie has an announcement ready that will satisfy players.

7 RepliesThey can't make any announcements, because any future plans more than likely hinge on Marathons success Bungie needs Marathon to succeed in order to continue making D2 content I expect them to start talking about D2 again after March 5th, good or bad
