Why isn't the Necrochasm catalyst showing up for me?
I recently started playing Crota's End again and had the quest pending in my quest log. After completing the raid, I received the catalyst, but not the weapon. I had to replay the ending to get the weapon. When I tried to equip the catalyst, I was surprised to find it wasn't in the slot. Basically, I have the weapon unupgraded. Help!

Whats supposed to happen is you grab the quest, grind for 20 oversouls, beat the boss, get the gun... then get 15 more oversouls & do a puzzle for the catalyst. Any encounter can drop ANY amount of oversouls, its complete RNG, and sometimes takes ppl like 20 runs. What I believe happened for you is that you hit the "jackpot"... you got the gun & all 35 oversouls all in one drop. So all you need to do now is the 2 catalyst puzzles. They need to be done in one run, not checkpoints. There's one puzzle after the Bridge encounter, and one after the Witch encounter. You can add me if need someone to help.
