Can we buff primaries in pve

My guns feel like pea shooters. Ability spam slop gameplay isn’t fun but it’s also not fun to have to shoot 2 mags to kill 1 red bar in the lawless frontier

    • The number squish killed primaries in -30 to -50 content. 20% damage buffs and 35% damage debuffs even stacked mean nothing when your weapons deal 4 damage. Lmgs got destroyed also

    • with how strong builds are yeah primary weapons, specialsn,and heavy should get a 100/130% dmg buff vs red bars and majors

This weeks alert is rediculous, why are the mobs so resilient, they get the wolverine treatment or something

        • Ability spam i love to be able to do tbh but agree primaries need a buff more so in endgame content in low end to mid end primaries are amazing, just endgame-40 -50 content they are pointless

          • Ability builds are very fun. Destiny should always have great feeling abilities. It’s what makes it different from many other games. Pretty much all non exotic primaries do suck pretty badly in any high end content though. Most noticeably in the lawless frontier and the grandmaster vanguard alerts. They are pretty much unusable for anything besides stunning champions.

            • The whole thing is broken. No ballance to weapon damage. Invest in weapon stat, NO, you need to invest in other stats before that. Armor as predicted has no more/better stat distribution than it did pre EOF. Yes I can get one stat higher, but I need that one stats higher just to make PVE playable. If I short that stat, and invest in wepaon, I still do crap damage AND can't use abilities. White ammo weapons across the board need a large buff to be viable in anything past the campaign.

            • Alternatively, stop with the pointless power deltas because so long as those exist, power is pointless by default. As it stands, and I've made a post recently about why primaries feel like trash in PvE right now, we actually are weaker than we're supposed to be: * Artifact bonus was 10, 12, or 15% last season and that got nerfed to 5%. So that's up to 10% lost right there. * If the weapon stat (probably most players' dump stats in PvE) functions similarly to ability stats, having 30 or less is weaker than pre-EOF values. So we're potentially not even getting the full 15% against red bars or stronger that we're supposed to even if we invest in it. * Seemingly most enemies in the Lawless activities are orange bars anyway, so that's more damage lost there. * And Lawless activities scale up to 50 above us for even more damage lost. Also, I feel like hit registration even in PvE keeps getting worse, they keep changing enemy crit boxes too or bullet magnetism is way overtuned in the wrong way because cabal incendiaries for example I know for a fact I keep aiming at the fuel tank and they don't count. Or Taken Phalanxes or Centurions the last time I used a bow against one, no matter how many times I hit the head clear as day and even caused them to flinch, it wouldn't count as a head shot and they'd heal instantly. But shooting the foot for some reason fixed that. Vex were already bad enough with their crit boxes, we don't need other factions too. Setting that aside, we're definitely doing 20% less than we should be on the low end.
