Let’s face facts gamers want to talk junk to other gamers.
Not allowing us to message our opponents after crucible matches is when this community started not enjoying how toxic it could be and players kept falling off.
All the best games can get pretty toxic but it is not up to the developer to censor speech. It’s up to the platform. When you take the free will of your gamers. It makes a game unenjoyable to them. They come here to play your game as an escape from reality. I’m sorry to say this, but toxic games succeed. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles in this world. Proximity chat would be great. You have to remember most people put clips up on the Internet and it makes other players want to play that game when something is funny. if a gamer sees other gamers, having more fun doing something silly, they tend to gravitate toward where the funs coming from. Join the dark side plz.

I can agree with you to a certain extent, although not fully. It's one thing to talk smack to another player but people now take things too far too often, my guess is due to the anonymity afforded them through online gaming. Racism, telling someone to harm themselves, full-on threats, things like this are becoming commonplace these days and without some sort of guardrails it would only spiral out of control even further.
