Battle eye should detect anything

Frankly it's common sense battle eye is supposed to be used to detect forms of cheating hacking which would include any forms of network manipulation example ping. Simply if you play video games long enough you can tell the difference when someone is lagging or they are using a form of ping I seen stuff like this all over snowball fighting pvp and trials. I personally think the issue is we don't see ping as a form of cheat but in reality it is you're using a technique to gain advantage of players in PVP by changing your network to force a lag so you can do increased damage or even possibly have massive damage resistance..

Ping itself cannot be used to determine if someone is using network manipulation. Destiny's network model is quite different from other games and has strange behavior. It's also very unlikely you can differentiate between someone using subtle net manipulation in pvp and someone on a poor connection.
