Crystal drop chances need to be improved
It shouldn’t be taking in the excess of 30 contested runs to get a crystal they need to be improved, also the drop chance of exotic contracts and orders also need to be improved

11 RepliesJHermann already verified this in another post but if you’re farming planet specific crystals they need to be from the invadable node on that planet. The node that has the little gold/yellow trim around the bottom of it. That is where that planet specific crystal will drop from. If you’re farming other, non-invadable nodes stop what you’re doing and farm the invadable ones. As for the contested territory I’m sure the planetary crystals can drop in there as well so if you’re farming and you want the Europa crystal and Mars is the contested territory providing Europa has a node with the gold/yellow trim (invadable) you can get the Europa crystal from there and the Mars crystal from the contested territory. Once you know the correct way to farm them you just need to pray to RNGesus so they drop.

Hate to say it but it's a cosmetic and a driving force for activity engagement your beating your head against the wall for it so...it's exactly where they want it...

That first week or 2, I was getting these exotic contracts left and right. Now, I dont see em lol Maybe because I have all the crystals but the light blue one that drops from the contracts, so the game expects me to grind. Nope, I did the opposite, I left and playing silent hill, on my 2nd play through lol

I got the red crystal on my 13th/14th invasion, but I’m yet to get any planetary crystals and have done shedloads of lawless frontier as all 3 factions are ranked way over 5

3 RepliesJust causally playing will get you all crystals with cyan and taken being the outliers. I have all of them took me 25 runs on dungeon 7 exotic contracts and less time on each planet to get corresponding one invasions took me about 15 runs I’ve heard people taken over 100. However RNG can be a -blam!-

4 RepliesIm close to 30 runs of the dungeon, still no taken crystal. Sort of bothers me that other people run it 1 or 2 times and get it. Seems like im punished more than rewarded for playing this game.

You say it shouldn't take more than 30 runs whilst someone else would say 15 tops and a third person would be adamant about at least 50. What makes your PoV more valid than these?

Weirdly enough the crystals I was missing, mars, and Europa never popped up on rewards after match. To my surprise I saw I had them after my undertaker seal and renegade seal was done so was very happy. Luckily I got my red crystal on my very first invasion with just 1 extra added to wager, personally do not like invading to grief but needed seal so finished it today. I did enjoy the idea of invasion though, most of my games were a 1v1, and can say that Venus made a great map for hunting down guardians for invasions. That map and the ambience made it feel like I was the predator trying to score a bounty, it was definitely something new and bungie did a great job in terms of giving you the feeling of danger, also playing cautiously to earn my precision kills with a scout was so much fun. Will say that I did get jumped by 2 behemoths and a pike, but little did they know my airstrike was waiting for em and got an awesome triple kill. There should be a thing where if we do something x amount of times, we can buy it with a currency that drops each time we do it. FFXIV has this and it would be such a good addition.
