Can We Just Retire the Dread?

The Dread were really cool back in TFS. It was the Witness's own faction, full of (mostly) new units that were tough and tricky to deal with. They were intimidating and made things difficult. But now that we've dealt with the Witness and the Dread have just lingered, the novelty of a particularly tricky faction has worn off and now they are just simply annoying to fight. I absolutely hate having infinitely respawning grim flying and flittering around, dealing a constant peppering damage that ignores cover. I hate absurdly tanky psions that run so fast across the battlefield for cover and then can suddenly yank you or slow you by surprise because they spawn by the dozen now and you can't keep track of every single one. I hate Husks that run at you non-stop, and the way they lean forward during their running animation makes it unnecessarily difficult to hit their crit spot because aim assist seems to have difficulty prioritizing crit spots (but this has been a problem for goblins, hobgoblins, and especially minotaurs for years now). Subjugators and Tormentors are fine, for the most part. I don't like how Subjugators can just ignore flinch, run up to you, and just insta-kill you with their staff shotgun blast thingy, though. That's stupid. Am I missing any? Am I the only one who hates this faction now? They were obviously designed to be tougher than normal, but they are just annoying at this point. The Salt Mines showed me just how annoying they can be and I have not had any fun fighting them since the end of TFS. I usually actively try to avoid playing anything that features them. I think removing them would be an improvement to the game, or at least only using them for specific, setpiece encounters.

 • I hate how subjugators and tormentors take less body damage and have small crit spots and constantly shift around (especially subjugators), making it difficult to hit the crit.
