Obligation to set privacy settings to public in order to access the most popular Discord server in the French community.
Hello, I would like to know if it is normal for a community Discord server to force me to set my privacy settings to public. The reason I prefer to keep my settings private is that I don’t want to be monitored on applications like Braytech, Raid Hub, etc. I find it abnormal to be required to make my settings public. I would like to participate in activities such as raids, and this French-speaking community Discord seemed to be the best solution. I am disappointed by this unnecessary rule, because if its purpose is to stop cheaters or anything similar, Bungie is responsible for handling that. I would like to know if any action could be taken to remove this rule from this community server, because I am not the only one in this situation and many players are leaving this server mainly for this reason. 6 RepliesAs far as it goes, its not ran by Bungie and its up to the server admins/mods to pick how they want to run it. They've decided they only want players in the server that keep their stats public as a condition of being able to use it. If you feel it breaks Discords ToS, then you could contact them about it - as for Bungie though, they aren't going after Discord servers (minus a batch of users on one server for macroing etc earlier) nor are they even trying to set the rules that the Discords based around Destiny must follow.
