Did enemies start to hit harder after call to arms ended?

Jumped to play with my friends yesterday and all of us noticed that enemies especially banes seem to hit way harder after call to arms ended. We all played with same buids, armor and guns as before and the difference in survivability seems very noticeable. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just imagine things?

  • Check the modifiers. Sometimes, fireteam ops have from 50 to 66% extra damage to elemental and or AoE damage.

    • That's what I said in march of this year so I gave up playing D2 and I started to give it another chance a 2 weeks ago and call of arms was active and it felt fine but since I saw your post right now seems that I was on the money that the enemies are stronger in like you said it was probably the same in march also, I would say either the incoming damage is increased or our attack damage has decreased also but either way I'm just guessing.

      • I noticed I got one shot by a captain on onslaught the other day. Never had that problem. Could’ve been a modifier, but I didn’t look.

            I pride myself on survivability in game. If I'm dying, it's usually because I'm exhausted and need to just turn the game off and do something else. Lately, I've been dying in portal activities. Once, okay, fair play I missed a sniper more than likely. But twice? Three times? That means something is off...I played with my build a little bit but not enough to cause this many issues. I died in Excision. To be fair, get enough of those flying amber bees in the air and the lag is so bad you won't see anything coming at you, but I'm the one who has been teaching people to jump upward to avoid the deathHadoken since Excision was replayable. I NEVER die in Excision. Usually grouping with matchmaking is fine, but the past couple of games, my blueberry team is suddenly dead within the first thirty seconds and NO REVIVES flashes on my screen. Though it wounds my pride, I've left activities when I see two e's floating in space AGAIN after I just burned some lives and shields getting people back up because there's no revives and I am not carrying through a whole portal trip. Definitely something strange going on but not sure what it is.

              • Currently, am bounty stacking and zipping around the planets, doing Lost Sectors on normal only, and other weekly bounties, and seemed to be dying more than normal; suddenly being overwhelmed by ads…ohk blasted mid-jump from out of the blue…falling off the map or just ending in crevices especially on the moon - a place I know well?!…or just running out of gas or ‘lift’ mid-jump…etc… It is noticeable! 🤔 That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖👻

                • We no longer have that additional damage buff when enemies are in close proximity to us.

                  • Yea I've noticed it to when I get 1 shot by a phalanx blast 1 shot by a random melee, I thought I was the crazy one tbh but now I know that I'm not the only one

                  • I was saying the same thing. Added it to help for it because it seems they undid or broke something when they removed call to arms

                      I'm not even pinning it on CTM - they've, IMO, hit much harder ever since they changed the delta structure of the portal. I used to play on just as high deltas as now but the second they changed it - and despite that the pre-set deltas now are lower than what i typically played at - it's been rough. You peek your head out and lose 90 % health and I'm seemingly doing less damage to them too (I've ran GM after Ultimate and done the exact same damage per tick to champs, which in itself doesnt make sense). It's the same in Lost Sectors. I'm convinced they messed soemthing up with champs specifically - or that's at least where it's the most noticeable. Needless to say I'm rarely playing pinnacles anymore - it's just become a drag when you have to spend 5 minutes on unstoppables.

                      • I've noticed some 'Rage' enemies seem A LOT more tankie. I played Reclaim, Solo, on Ultimate last night and one Rage character took several clips of primary and I think three clips of a machine gun to go down. Maybe that's how its been, but some enemies seem much stronger than before (and it wasn't any modifiers that caused it).

                        • I believe so. K1 logistics was giving me a run for my money today. Usually I have minutes to spare when completing but today I never finished with leftover time.

                        • Think it might have been the Call to Arms modifier that made enemies take more damage when they were closer to you? However I got absolutely rekt by the end boss in Core Battlegrouds yesterday, twice. It was harder than Avalon Conquest at -50. No joke. Yes, Brawn was on, and no we had removed increased void damage to us. Just absolutely rekt. It could be that I’ve forgotten how to fight that bar steward cyclops, or more likely Bungie can’t balance these activities correctly.

                        • Were you putting on Brawn to get the highest scores in the Call to Arms activities ...? It removes your ability to regenerate health/shields, but gives you a bigger health bar to start off with. My crew breezed thru the Coil on Ultimate difficulty with Brawn, then struggled in a GM Conquest with no Brawn. Without Brawn, it feels like we're taking so much damage, compared to what we've gotten used to over the last few weeks.

                          • Could be you got used to the increased health if you were using brawn for everything. I know its taken me time to adjust back to normal. Especially after doing all those conquests for a week.
