New event was pretty kick -blam!-. Plenty of cool stuff to grind for. Event track full of cool stuff. Able to solo or team up. It’s in the pve and pvp realm. Touched a lot of bases and had fun getting to the top 1%. The modifiers let you absolutely crush the hardest content too.

All of my issues with it are the scoring; I just despise community scoring, especially when it's in a game with an enourmous cheating issue. MH Wilds had exactly the same problem, and just threw community scoring out in favour of dev-determined threshold scoring (which IMO was the correct decision; though it helps that the MH devs very vocally play their own game, right up to the top of the C-suite). I'd have been fine with skill-based short-cutting; i.e. the higher you score, the faster you get through the reward track, but with enough grind everyone can get at least all the ornaments. But I also think that nothing more desirable than an Emblem should be skill-gated; you can make the grind for the lower-skilled miserable (and believe me, I have experience in that on the PvP side, no matter how good I am at PvE), but outright cutting it off encourages people to never even try, and the game absolutely cannot afford that right now (and most games want to avoid it ever).
