The Hard Truth and Reality
Not interested in leveling up, power means nothing - leveling up if anything should be everywhere.
Not interested in Tiered gear, can't be bothered in doing the difficult stuff to get the higher gear.
Not interested in the Portal which has taken the focus from the World that is Destiny.
Certainly not interested in modifiers or the difficulty they represent or the challenges unless I choose so.
EOF was a failure. If Renegades is the same I will not be parting with money.
Wrong direction, wrong path, lack luster content. Lazy development with reused, recycled content.
Lack of imagination. The space magic has faded. Other games keeping me occupied these days.
Give me a reason to play and enjoy this game like I used to Bungie.
Show me the fun and I show you the money.

8 Replies[b]The Hard Truth:[/b] We look back with our rose-tinted monocle at the fun we had in D1…get the flambé hairdo…raid nonstop…Trials - to see how far we mere mortals could climb, eg, 3-, 5- or Flawless…pages on our Friends List…bang away at the Thorn and other tough quests… That was the D1 vibe! 👈 [b]The (current) Reality:[/b] The Sunset debacle killed the D1 vibe. Thereafter, things went from bad to badder at every turn of the BHQ screw…those few 🤡🤑🤥who controlled things seemed to be deliberately throttling Destiny with every misstep and kok-up possible. 🧐 Then came the paradigm shift - Lightfail, where things just got worse. The new ‘Neomuna Overtuna’ vibe became the way…which a small percentage of the player base hailed as ‘perfect’…whilst the greater majority voted with their feet. The 🤡🤥🤑 doubled-down and pushed their new D2 vibe even harder…meanwhile, the player base tumbled…and tumbled…and tumbled… Then, the vermin started to jump ship as it sank… Joe tried to make a change…but, he was (probably) forced to fall on his sword. 🤫 Enter EoF…goodbye even more players…and now, even the ‘chosen ones’ - BHQs Div. 1 Streamers / Twitchers and UTubers are jumping ship… Player numbers are now at rock bottom…🧐 [b]Under New Management:[/b] This team has a ‘poisoned chalice’ situation to deal with…and they are, imho…but it will take time to make things right. I have had more fun than last season. bungie fixed so much already the game is starting to ramp up. the call to arms since they fixed the bottle neck points system . its actually worth the time to go for the rewards. its not bad at all with all mods set to max difficulty if you plan for it. l tried all serges void does a little better for me. lm not a 1% player but anyone can do it with a little help if needed.

Bungie took away resources from their golden goose to invest in the development of another game that nobody wants. They are idiots. They stopped listening to the community and thought they knew best. Well, they FAFO. I’m enjoying watching them burn, they deserve it so much.

I don’t think bungie’s in the position to really fix that — until some major changes occur. I’d hold off on renegades if I were in your shoes. That or check to see if any mutuel friends are joining in — so at the very least you’ve got buddies to pull through with. Playing new content you’re not really thrilled by (while also solo) might not be the best use of your time. Hope you’re good with whatever you decide to do brother!

1 ReplyThe problem with D2 now is that is no fun (awful system of leveling by repeating a million times the same old cut missions; lack of powerful engaging builds) and the lack of new content/activities. There is the intencion of Bungie introduce Sparrow races or a new Gambit mode. When? In 1 year, when the game is dead. We need new endgame content, otherwise after the new expansion the game will die for good.
