Mistakenly created a new account.

Hi, I have a different bungie account (from this one) that was created during my participation in the recent Marathon closed beta. I noticed there's no way to unlink the account from this dummy account and I'm met with the "ErrorMissingChosenAccount" error code when I try to merge the auth. methods as stated in the help guide. Is there a way to get this fixed?

Just to get this right. Your platform account is linked to a separate account and you want to move it from that account over to a different one? If that's correct, then it's not possible. When Bungie did the March 25th linking change, as part of that change it included disabling the ability to move accounts between Bungie profiles. The merging authentication section is no longer relevant due to that and I believe they've just never gotten around to removing it.

    • Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. We understand you're encountering an error code when attempting to merge account authentication methods. If you happen to be using the Bungie.net site to do this, then do you still encounter this issue if using a different browser, or setting your current browser to incognito mode? If you encounter this issue across different browsers and in incognito mode, then does it also occur if using the Companion app instead? Please let us know, and we'll review.
