Bungie, I don't think activity modifiers are bad, but some should be removed simply because they don't add any difficulty or entertainment to the game; they're just annoying. At least for me, it feels like the goal with these modifiers is to troll your players.
Incomplete list:
- The stasis slow applied by some enemies with a melee attack. I personally think it's some kind of trolling by some of your devs, or maybe they didn't test it before adding it to the game.
- The "time bomb player" system instead of dying. I find it annoying and unnecessary; they should just stick with revive tokens and nothing else.
- The Avant-Garde modifier (or any modifier that basically does the exact opposite of adding variety to gameplay and build customization).
- The banes system in general. I don't understand why you put so many annoying enemies in an activity that, I insist, doesn't add any difficulty; it's simply annoying. Special mention goes to those @@@ scorn bugs that pop out of enemies or when they die.
- Enemies that are partially or completely invisible.
- Those "gifts" that look like ammo or something but they're actually bombs. Trolling your players again.
Well, that's just my humble opinion. I've been playing since D1 launch day, and honestly, I don't understand what are you trying to do with these weird systems.

Personally I don’t mind Avant-Garde I’d haven’t had to update my builds since witch queen due to the modifier.
