This was the right call. (On a decision you never should have made to begin with).
But you guys seriously need to do better than this for player engagement. This seems like a thinly veiled tactic just to get people to buy Renegades.
Please do better. This alone will NOT cut it. This game is fundamentally broken right now. It needs help. You will take away the power reset, but then go ten steps backwards and make something else harder.

2 RepliesThe power grind was the only thing left to do in the game. I doubt this star wars cash in is bringing any amazing must play content to the table. The fact they are doing it smells of desperation. Without good fun content and more matchmaking on most of the activities, the game will simply not survive.

1 ReplyThe thing is, the whole “reset power during renegades” should have never even been a thought. Just like how they wanted to remove extra drops and loot from solo ops and pinnacles, but got backlash from the whole community.

They really be underestimating the player base i just hope the dlc has content to last until the mid update an hopefully that update is enough to satisfy everyone.

This is a start, why they thought a grind which is so hated in the game was a good idea is beyond me. Hopefully they just increase the limit a bit like to 650 or 700 with increasing your level helping you earn higher tier gear. Now I actually want more to get to 550, now if they make the game less repeatitive.

They say this but when the time of Renegades comes around they’re going to say something about “oh we can’t transfer your harvest cores because of such and such.” “We can’t keep the players at current level during transition into the new DLC because it’s not fair that other players are not high enough power”. There is always a catch with them.

As long as “no reset” doesn’t mean “now you have to grind to 750 to see T5” this is a win I think. Honestly with the dwindling population who gives a flying fart if they are handing out loot a bit too fast. Without players the game is dead anyway. Long term though I don’t know how it’s gonna work this obviously is a short term emergency fix to a deeper issue.

I read it here for the first time... but it doesn't change anything for me; I will not buy anything from Bungie again. They can't fix what they've destroyed. I doubt that.

They should have gotten rid of the Power Grind entirely, not doubled down on it. Power Leveling is already irrelevant since we always need to be at least -10 regardless of the activity we play. Power Leveling at this point in the game's life is redundant.

We power reset every DLC. It makes no difference going back to 200 than chasing a higher number. Ya complain about the dumbest -blam!-

It's a good start, there is a reason I don't play Diablo(besides not being able to side with Lilith) Next, remove the portal, and just make adepts like a tier 5, with everything enhanced, for all activities Keep existing armor set bonuses(which was a good idea), and add set bonuses to all previous raid,dungeon and trials sets -
