We don't need a lot, but we need something every now and then. It feels clear that PvE content is harder to develop and loses steam faster, while a good PvP map is evergreen. Strong PvP keeps players grinding your old PvE content for weapons — it fuels the whole ecosystem.
I don’t know if the PvP strike team still exists, but we desperately need them back. The current state of PvP is rough (though it has been worse):
- The fact that I can only go Flawless once per weekend is strange and restrictive.
- The hand cannon shotgun + lightweight knife is still out there.
- Titans sitting back to boltcharge up completely kills the flow of matches.
- Special ammo economy let's gods snowball
- I could go on..
There’s still so much fun to be had in Destiny PvP — the foundation is incredible — but the lack of new maps for years the, stale metas, and the focus on temporary “party” modes are driving people away. I’m queuing into the same three stacks seven or eight times an hour because there just aren’t enough others left.
Your PvP community needs a healthy, shifting meta and for Trials to have a real identity again — or something new to fill that role. I’ve defended Bungie for years because I love this game, but for the first time since I started playing, I’m worried it might really be the end.
And I don’t want it to end.

Agree, I like PvP, as much as PvE, but the issue with PvP are much more than a sandbox balance. Their server architecture is crap and most games lag, especially with the low population. Add to that very little being done to curb cheating, people using MnK on console, modded controllers… I see so much more weird stuff in PVP in the last year. That game mode is dying, but not because of new content.
