It’s obvious that money makes the world go round. Eververse shows what’s most important in this game currently. But what would get you lapsed players and soon to be, excited enough to open your wallets and drop bank on this game again? It’s probably too late in the day at this point, but let’s imagine a spend worthy tomorrow!
For me:
More story and actual story missions
D1 style raids
Better separation between PvP and PvE equipment and ability parameters
Bigger, better worlds to patrol on
Kicka55 in-game gear to achieve
More legendary sectors
LESS TIMERS AND WIPE MECHANICS
Bring back iconic NPCs to care about in the story… for real!
My take isn’t about spending on cosmetics, but game content.

Im so simple. All they had to do was leave old GMs in the game. Thats it. And thats all Ill come back for.

Also, maybe don't have your new destination be solo/co-op only. After all, when people drop money on cosmetics, it's usually because they want to look cool and it's kinda hard for them to show off(and be free advertising) to other players when they're forced to play solo!

A lot of us are kind of in a spot on this, because we plopped down money to play the expansion packs. I guess I can speak on that subject, though: The expansions that get me most excited at the ones that expand player's kits, mostly new skills, new fragments, new subclasses, stuff like that. Build crafting is probably one of my favorite parts of this game, and baseline weapon drops don't do much to mix up build crafting (In my opinion), so new and better player kit, more and better variety, is going to be my top line choice. Secondly, I think it would help if there were more cool armors to get in-game, not just in Eververse. Fashion is another of my favorite parts, so getting kind of mid and mediocre armor doesn't do much to excite me. An expansion pack with tons of new, cool looking armor to get would be nice... ...but I guess that would cut into Eververse, and Bungie wants those whales paying. On the topic of Eververse specifically, allowing us to buy armor piecemeal would be nice. I don't like buying a full 1,500 silver set of armor just to use only the helmet or the gloves. Eververse is targeted at whales, but I'm just a minnow; opening the story up to minnows could get more money rolling in, allowing more players to participate in the shop. Plus just fixing the problems and imbalances of the game. People spend money when they're having fun, when they're excited about a game, and right now the game is not in an exciting place. I feel better putting down money when I'm already having a great experience.
