Is the increased difficulty a result of sunsetting Resilience?

I'm one of those players who's struggling with the current difficulty of the game, I die a lot more than I find fun, I could probably win a "Most Rezzed" medal for Master level Fireteam Ops, the Legendary campaign was mostly a war of attrition for me, just to put my skill level into perspective. And from what I'm reading on the forums, I'm not the only player struggling with the current difficulty of the game, it seems like lots of low end, average, and casual players are bouncing off the skill level increases we're being asked to participate in. It got me thinking: Last year we had Resilience as an armor stat, most of us had the benefit of pretty high damage reduction, (I can't remember what the exact benefit was from max Resilience, but I think I remember it being around 40%,) and this year the best we can do is the 15% DR from wearing featured gear. Thing is, I don't remember hearing about any similar nerf to enemy damage output; we got reduced DR, but I wonder if the enemies are still doing the same levels of damage, and whether or not that might be contributing to the frustration many of us casual and average players are experiencing? Could it be that sunsetting Resilience is part of the reason, or even the entire reason, why so many of us are struggling right now? Suddenly we're all taking XX% more damage, and low or average skilled players are struggling to survive the difference? It's difficult to quantify since we can't do side-by-side testing, so I figured I'd come to the forums and ask opinions, maybe y'all know something I don't. What do you think: Could the sunsetting of Resilience be contributing to the current difficulty woes that so many of us are experiencing?

  • 100 resilience prior to EoF seems to be replaced by 15% damage reduction, which translates to 4 T5 armor and featured exotic. I also felt relatively weaker while levelling up but as I started to get T5 gear, it became closer to pre-EoF experience in terms of survival. On the other hand, damage you can output has significantly increased, both due to impact of 100+ stats and better archetypes+perks. I can now solo most master dungeons at least till final boss, something I couldn't have done before so at higher levels it's relatively easier.
