Bungie keeps listening to content creators and this is the results, unfun game stupid modifiers only to pleasure a few. The players who built Destiny are more important than a few entitled arrogant streamers.

Edited by xbroggiex: 10/5/2025 12:26:54 PMThey aren't the sole problem but they definitely attributed to the problem. Bungie are the biggest issue because they are f'ing up the game and taking feedback from those content creators that care for nothing more than crap to pad out their channels with. Currently the game is in the perfect state for these content creators yet they are now dropping all their doom posts and goodbye videos, why? Because the average player has been alienated and they no longer care to play the game or watch their worthless slop. Content creators wanted more grind they got it. Now no-one is playing because levelling takes too long and is too frustrating to do. Content creators wanted the game to be harder. Now we got a difficulty with modifiers that make one of the main plot points of Destiny being that you can revive moot, while also having another modifier that puts you on a time limit. You are also now constantly under-level making your level progression nothing more than a waste of time. Content creators wanted raids to be harder. Now we got harder more complex raids than Root and the completions are incredibly low and the average raider has been alienated and has stopped playing entirely that LFG is a ghost town. Not even going to touch on PvP and GernaderJake crying that he isn't doing Trials anymore because the reality is that he wanted noobs to stomp for his flawless stream carries and now that the mode is dead and all that is left is actual good players he is throwing a fit because he has to actually try. They were all nothing more than parasites. Honestly the person at Bungie who decided to spend all that dev time reworking systems instead of improving what they already had should be fired and blacklisted from the entire industry because that was a monumental F up.
-
And now they're crying and whining on their way out (and blaming the community lol). These guys have made so many "im leaving" videos and commenting on someone else's "Im leaving" videos that its just beyond pathetic.
-
Except they don't. Sweatcicle has talked a little bit about the few summits he's attended recently. He said Bungie didn't really want any feedback, they just wanted a bunch of yesmen to mindlessly clap away at everything that was shown. He even mentioned how Gladd just came out and said Bungie should make D3, look what happened to that feedback. Am I saying Content Creators are completely absolved from blame? No. They could have refused any summit invitation. They could have chosen not to promote this game. They could have played literally any other game in the world. But Destiny is in the position it's in because of Bungie. And as for the Content Creators, it's their fault for making their entire career around one video game. That never works.
-
But here's the thing: even if the "creators" are the reason the game is in its current state, aren't the community still to blame since it's their subscriptions to these channels and viewing of their videos/streams that are the only things that give these "creators" any relevance?
-
It depends which content creator people like unknown and mushroomZ they are the reason why the game is f***** u* because they're the ones who told bungie to make the game harder make the game tougher don't improve reward don't improve content they wanted everything to be red barred back when shadow keep came out... What's interesting is the content creator unknown of the people that has been on his videos is the same guy the really chubby white guy from the renegade stream Noah... That's why I believe that the content creator unknown he has a lot of power over decisions when it comes to content in destiny. Most importantly unknown was also one of the streamers who told bungie to make escalation protocols so difficult to a point where almost 10% of the player base couldn't even complete the content bungee had to decrease the difficulty... Also the same streamer who praised over niobe labs you know the activity that only 5% of the player base were able to complete. Also the guy Mushroom contact creator he is so toxic that if you say something bad about the game where you want the game to be easier or more balanced he will actually ban you off stream.. Basically I'm saying here is if a streamer or creator is toxic towards players in the community most likely usually they are the reasons why the game is f***** u* in the first place. Toxic players want the game to be harder whereas content creators who are not toxic who care about the game they are the ones who don't care if the game is hard or easy as long as the game is balanced and rewarding on harder content such as Fallout.

Content creator is such a fart sniffing term. They play video games for little pay piggies using their parents $$. Is that not enough? They get to be de facto game developers too? “I’m a content creator!” “Oh, what do you create?” “I film myself playing video games for children.” “Oh.” I can’t stand that fart whiffing Byf guy but at least he makes real videos about the game.
-
They do have an impact on social field but average players actually hold the most influence. So stop the blame game and stop spending money on things you know bad and continue to use it while you say it’s bad.
-
Sure buddy, though I truely think that you folks are going too -blam-ing far with how you are treating them for just playing the game, they might be dedicated to Destiny, but don’t consider them like the plague… Considering what I’ve seen, I did enough to come to the consensus that you are trying to get them off the platform like how some -blam!- people ruin a person or family’s life for just being on your sights and you happened to be bored. I surely hate Bungie now, but it doesn’t mean that the rightful way is to witch hunt everybody that’s involved in the growth and development. Some need to be certainly accountable in the failure of the game, but the skeleton crew that is still sane is Valuable, as well as all creators that wanted the game to flourish while the ones responsible for it’s downfall kept digging the grave just to runaway with the money bags. You are not helping by torching them just so they get out of Destiny 2, not to mention that you can face consequences, no matter if you didn’t cross the lines in the sands. Stand the heck down and let the game wither naturally, because doing what I’ve mentioned simply will bite you in the back.
Bungie keeps listening to content creators and this is the results, unfun game stupid modifiers only to pleasure a few. The players who built Destiny are more important than a few entitled arrogant streamers.
No, Bungie is. At the end of the day it's up to Bungie to filter out the noise and make the best choices. Datto didn't force Bungie to make the game harder at gun point. Aztecross didn't kidnap a devs family unless they made the game more boring and I don't have a third person to name, but I'm pretty sure they aren't the reason why we're all here right now. Don't blame the consumer, blame the corporate machine.
-
They help the game and ruin simultaneously. I wish I was that appealing, where strangers find me compelling enough to support me financially. Talk about life.
-
Bungie is the problem, they made this garbage.
-
Actually Bungie and everyone still paying money are the problem. Stop paying and start making Bungie listen. Probably too late in the day to make a difference, but anyone complaining that has spent money in at least the last year should just shut their mouths already… you are the enabling factor here.

Edited by Chuck Finley: 10/4/2025 5:12:58 AMConsidering the average opinion on this forums for the past 11 years has been to destroy the game, I’d much rather Bungie listen to the streamers than you.
-
The current state of D2 is Datto’s wet dream. After years of begging for this, he finally got the version he wants and now they’re complaining it still isn’t enough.
-
💯💯💯💯 Absolutely They listen to content creators(1% of the player base) instead of the main player base.

It’s the unrealistic thought of things are going to get easier. It’s no one’s fault it’s just because we want to get on absolutely rock a raid boss without being punished for revives and scores. Which is why majority people are opting to find a hacker to make the encounter trivialised. What the game really needs at the moment is and this is just my opinion 1st point of call give players all 500 gear for free as an apology for the killer of a grind and actually make the decent changes for renegades. Gives everyone for the rest of the season to get tier 5 gear and feel less pressure. for players who are already at 500+ give them some enhancement cores exotic engrams The grind is what stopped most players cause 90% of people playing have a job and priorities the grind killed us. tier 3 for us while people who did this as a job were showing us a promise lands we would never reach… “I got 9 tier 5’s for doing one crucible match” I get the frustration on that part cause tier 2/3 is just trash compared to tier 5. But that’s not aztecross’s fault his career path was to become a streamer and to show us the good parts of the game he loves and any game he plays at that point. 2nd do a community event again? Gjallarhorn galore week? Make players feel like a hacker and a destroyer. 500% extra damage no reloads heavy ammo replenishes overtime. Can do something for pvp along with mayhem with heavy 2x health 2x health regeneration just go to town and have fun. Certain targets give emblems, shaders, ghost shell, etc. sure star horse can give us some magic buff again? 3rd remove the 2 piece and 4 piece bonus from gear no one truly cares about it yeah it adds a different level but you can do it on mods. We’re more bothered about how it looks. This opens the game up without having to come up with ideas for 2 piece and 4 piece bonus for crota gear. Instead it’s “I killed a raid boss and got a tier 5 chest piece and tier 5 word of crota” if someone gave me a mod instead of set bonuses you’d put more thought in what you’re gonna put on instead of a resist mod (multiple solar kills mod that heals you but costs 4… yeah I’ll take that. Multiple void weapon kills grants a void breach.. etc) the 11th slot for tier 5 is the perfect idea like that’s the chase. That’s just my opinion though most people would have other ideas or see something else. Everyone wants this game to be good does no favours pointing a finger at everyone.
-
no creator asked for these changes, unless you can find examples ? because besides some of them asking for more challenge in ENDGAME aka raids (so something that should be a challenge by definition), they never, EVER asked for the rest of the game to be annoying and filled with negative modifiers target the right people : bungie bungie are the ones deciding dumb stuff, not content creators lmao, you are litteraly helping bungie with this kind of topic, creating a "war" between the community is insanely stupid we should ALL direct our hate towards bungie, not towards innocents lmao
-
Please wake up from the matrix and stop being a npc

Edited by Jet Set Willy: 10/3/2025 8:40:20 PMI have minimal interest in content creators, but I don’t blame them. They’re entitled to their opinions like anyone else. For me, Bungie is the problem. Bungie sucked upto them with freebies, studio invites etc.. Bungie chooses to engage with them repeatedly. All of the blame for the state of this game as well as the mess that is Marathon lies squarely with Bungie. Everything is a result of their decisions and actions.
-
Most of them even promoted edge of fate, even with their abysmal numbers and player drop off. If a Bungie employee actually came to either this forum, or their own Reddit page and read some insightful suggestions on how to improve the quality of their game, perhaps edge of fate wouldn’t have flopped. Also if Pete parsons and senior management didn’t ruin Bungie with corporate greed, lay offs, and a car collection maybe we would be in a better place.
-
I don't watch content creators, but i see a lot of posts about them and their influence on the game via the developers. Is there actually real current evidence for this, like a link to articles of what they say or videos I can read/watch. Just interested, this is in no way a dig at you. It's just that I can't see anyone asking for the way the game is now, it does not make sense. If people asked for the game to be this way then why?
-
Im pretty sure all creators who were asked to summits said bungie just ok ok at them and dodnt listen. Bungie is responsible for their decisions noone else. Did the streamers code in these changes? Did they get paid for their ideas? People just look to blame anyone, the game gameplay wise is still great it's the lack of drive and passion and the missing devs that are all on bungies shoulders. This is bungie and bungies fault alone.
-
Some creators clearly had communication with Bungie but to what level of input we common folk could only guess. I think of those creators who are gifted various "Collectables" or "Tat" if you prefer such as replica weapons, hunter cloak, decorative lithos etc (Check copyright fellas) ;) But ultimately Bungie is where decisions were made and if those decisions were influenced by suggestions from creators then blame could be laid at either door but Bungie in the main.
-
Sadly these streamers use 3rd party apps using throw away accounts to optimize gameplay and discover new stats. On TOP of getting inside knowledge from actual devs. It's a complete sh*t show in Destiny streamer land.
-
Modifiers are a good idea but executed very poorly by typical Bungie. Dunno if they’ve heard of the Boon/Bane system they have in other games but it encourages build crafting. Even Destiny: Rising does this. Why a mobile game is superior to its console counterpart is deeply sobering.
-
Content creators are also leaving the game dude, all of this is the result of Bungie decisions. You're barking at the wrong tree.
