Bungie is in a tough spot, they're damned if they do, damned if they don't. If Bungie says "Everything is working as intended" they'll catch righteous hell for letting it happen. If Bungie says "Yeah, everything sucks right now" they'll catch righteous hell for not fixing it on the spot. And, unfortunately for the game, Bungie catching righteous hell doesn't actually boost player counts, if anything it would hurt morale even more. I agree with you, I'd like to see some of the problems we're talking about addressed, just recognized by the folks at Bungie, it feels like there's a lot of stuff that needs fixing and, right now, we have little reason to believe it'll be fixed - I just don't know how Bungie talks about those problems in, let's call it a pro-game way, a way that boosts the community and the players. The community is so upset (with many good causes) that I don't know what Bungie [i]can[/i] say that the community would take in a favorable light. The patch notes seemed okay enough for what they were, but the reason I'm not playing (much) right now has next to nothing to do with the balance of hand cannons, it has to do with the balance of the game. Just to state the obvious: Edge of Fate sized problems require Edge of Fate sized solutions.
