Tired of not having fun.
The portal has taken any and all fun out of the game. We always have to play at. Negative with bad modifiers that suck any fun from the game. I want to feel strong nd also be able to get rewards. I miss wanting to play destiny i miss having fun now its pick the modifiers that dont piss me off and run at a negative just to get rewards. It is fun to be challenged sometimes but not every second im playing. Give us some activities we can just go in at any level without mods that are negative and play like we use to. I dont want to play if im always pushed to play this un fun crap. Not only is it all old content but the added challenge needs to go. Not everyone wants to play this way or we would have lots of people in the game now. Remove the scoring system and let us pick good or bad modifiers if we want and play how we want and get the loot we want instead of playing how you want us too because its no longer worth doing.

Honestly you are not playing d2 for fun …it’s a habit that Bungie have engineered. You are addicted to the familiar and escape . Once you stop playing or play less it gets easier to not play . EOF was the new offering of what’s I come in the future . There is no more Bungie it is Sony making all the decisions . Somy are desperate to make some money back on marathon …that’s the only reason it’s going ahead . Sony would need a miracle for marathon to be any kind of success .

2 RepliesI know EXACTLY what you mean. Went to Neomuna today (no reason) and found 5 or 6 Guardians doing the Public Event. It was so much fun and nice to feel powerful for a change. That’s what the stooges at Bungo don’t get. They never understood what makes a game fun.

It’s a very different game but the division 2 is a great game with a small community. The loot system is miles ahead of destiny. Countdown and summit allow for targeted loot farming as well as open world. You can literally get a full gear set in one run of countdown. They also have a recalibration library that allows you to store god roll stars and talents.

Bungie have forgotten some of us just want to have fun, play the game not to do things to the extreme, it's why we had the likes of grandmaster for the hardcore players. Make a base level Op system for the casual or average player then let the hardcores use the modifiers to crank it up for the give them bonus rewards for it. I was good with the old power level system do the weekly pinnacle activities to level and be satisfied I got somewhere now it is nothing but a torture chamber. So many players are leaving ops if it isn't going well because they know you will get nothing for your time.

So let's have some fun. We don't have to wait on Bungie for a community event. We are the community. Let's make an event. . Friday Oct 10th is Repopulate D1 Day. . Let's go back to the classic tower, pick up some strike playlists bounties, go after strike specific loot, and give fellow Guardians an easy time finding strike teams to do it with. Let's land in classic locations and join fellow Guardians already working on public events and pushing back the taken. Let's return to the Dreadnought and put in some work on the Court of Oryx. Let's see the REAL Plague Lands and defeat Archons Forge. . D1 is not a perfect game. Its movement is slower, clunkier, and there are no class abilities. It lacks load outs and in game LFGs. . However it DOES have a nonvaulted story and real loot in many locations. . Those interested should check out the Discord server "the last city" to find a LFG group still supporting D1. . Eyes up Guardians. We're going back.

Osiris and Saint 14 gay, Mara is bi, devrim is gay, conductor is gay, Hawthorne is bi, Anna bray gay, Eriana is gay, Hawthorne is bi, Eramis is gay, Nimbus is basically trans, micha 10 is trans. Why is this everywhere all throughout my looter/shooter again? I just want a great evil villain to shoot in the face while I get more powerful

3 RepliesYea idk what to play 95% of the time. I’d just do matchmade activities but almost every day there is at least one modifier that makes it practically unplayable. Haste, volatile shields, elemental hunger, slow and small, glass cannon, energy drain etc. So for me right now it’s uh Crucible I guess? So burnt out on doing solo ops.

I stopped playing about 3 weeks after the Ash & Iron update came out. I stopped worrying about leveling up a little before that(at 334 I think) because I got sick of doing just portal activities and having to customize the difficulty every time. It doesn't feel fun to play as much anymore and it's not just the portal,Onslaught no longer has permanent matchmaking,They removed the rank/reward track from vendors,No weapon refresh and engram focusing for vendors and a small pool of weapons for the different Ops modes. I'm taking a break until Renegades comes out(maybe even longer than that) but I will just stay at 200 power lvl as I don't want to go through this stupid grind again.

Yep, this game stopped being fun as of recent for me. That's why I'm fully cleaning all my characters out and uninstalling when I know I'm done.

Edited by AOSpare: 10/3/2025 10:33:38 PMEverything is on ridiculous level and its impossible to level up at speed. I'm at 434 so having to do grandmaster. Tried onslought and it was impossible. You've got to be elite tier and there is no chill out modes (we'll there is if you drop difficulty down). But then you are stuck and can't progress. So tier 5 loot is basically for the elite only.

2 RepliesYeah, I just passed 400LL and it is pure misery, B+ scores for really good runs under the timer and a couple of +1 items that can easily drop in slots that are higher. I am at the point where I can't be bothered anymore, will logon after Tue reset to do the minimum to get zavala's items and check xur inventory on Fri and wait for FotL in the hope that they make it like solstice. 😥

Tired of portal runs, not fun. I miss casual runs with no damn timer running like daily bounties and story missions. Some of us old farts(68) just aint as fast with a controller as we used to be, rushing the portal runs to make time just makes my hands hurt. I have gone from a few hours a day to just a couple nights a week when my fireteams on. I think SONY needs to smack someone on the nose with a rolled up newspaper to get them to pay attention.

Destiny 2 is DEAD!!! I've played since D1 and have over 5,000 real hours played on D2. My clan was consistently full of active people. We had an open to all Discord with over 200+ people to help or even do runs with. Had several that did youtube videos for raids, dungeons and helpers. Since this new DLC came out and all the changes. ESPECIALLY. the game is mainly a solo player game. Did they forget socializing while playing is what kept us logging on. They took that away now you're lucky to find 4 online and Discord went silent. Everyone quit! So forget about a Destiny 3 because D2 will be 99% dead by end of this season.

Lots of ‘spot on’ feedback in this thread! ✅ Here’s what I spend time doing now… Zero interest in any portaloo PvE stuff…chasing my latest ‘white whale’ PvE SR HC in Comp - but only for a few matches at a time because too often - nothing drops or just rubbish drops…making it a frustrating and pointless exercise. As a 0.3% old tortoise, I certainly ain’t trying to climb the Comp ladder. When this wears thin, I go and clear my vault - again. At this 450+ level, a lot of guns pile up…so, I pick a set, go through each one to find the best PvE / PvP ones, and burn the rest. If it’s one I’m particularly interested in, I’ll check out the vid recommendations and do my own ‘best’ versions via one of those sites (can’t remember the one I mostly use, right now…it’s a good one 😁)…and then go to a favourite planet to try them out. That just about uses up all energy available to grind this game; cleaning my vault / postmaster and going on patrol…and helping NLs clear public events if needed. My playtime is decreasing by the day. I’m actively peeking at new games to try…even though I’d rather not. I don’t want Destiny to fail…but it is definitely withering on the vine…🤔 Events / Crucible got me to 450…vault cleaning and patrol is where I’m at…and likely to remain. I’m not chasing numbers or such - it’s just a pointless and dreary grind in the Neomuna Overtuna bandwidth - and it certainly ain’t fun! 🙄 That is all. Ease Slings! 🫤

Same, I play but I’m bored the instant I open the portal. Even at 454 where most if not all runs drop tier 5 it’s not sustainable. The population is so low it’s getting hard to find people to play with sometimes.

1 ReplyCasual player here: still having fun. Still p’d off about nerfs in PVE. Wish Bungie would stop nerfing and making folks have to do activities underpowered just to get improved loot. Start giving out more free stuff, reverse nerds and enforced difficulty levels.

16 RepliesOne thing I'll say for making streamers the de facto voice of our community: The streamers are mostly high level, high skill players, they don't experience the same level of frustration that us low and average skilled players do, they can't comment on it because they can't see it. Same with the hardcore players and grinders who are still playing the game; our idea of sweat is their idea of breeze. The hardcore players don't see the problem because they don't have the problem; the problem is for us, the casuals who just like jumping in, killing a few hundred Vex, and getting a neat weapon. I sort of wish we could come to some sort of consensus on this as a community, a way to quantify our frustrations beyond pointing at player counts and saying "See? This is why people are leaving." The D2 player base is disparate, we're all different skill levels, and pushing all of us to play at the same level is going to be frustrating for those of us who can't cut it. If you think of a bell curve, we're all being asked to play at the right hand side, and many of us just can't.

I stopped and got rid of gear over 200. I had fun playing where I would run seasonal activities as well as vanguard,crucible and gambit for the level gains just to eventually play master lost sectors. I find this boring.Maybe if there was story progression behind it,it would be better.
