Remove the portal
The portal needs to be removed. it takes the fun and soul out of the game. Bring back the world map with og nightfalls and all the other raids and dungeons and everything else. Portal needs to go!

I never thought they'd go back on the Portal but looking at how they're already changing core mechanics in it - such as modifiers not adding power to enemies - I could see there being some big changes in the future. I think it will remain a hub for activities though. The real issue is that old content was abandoned - rendering it completely moot. There'd be less bickering if we could play old stuff and get updated gear - or even work on our power levels that way. And I think Bungie would have wanted that too but just doesnt have the resources to make it happen atm. They also need to make the vendors relevant again.

3 Repliesid say we rollback the servers to pre-eof we just keep the raid and the loot and we never release the rest of EoF "content" and we build from there (because we really need to destroy everything EoF made in the first place lol)

1 ReplyKnowing I won't make myself friends with, I prefer the portal system including "unlimited" upgrade engrams vs the old system. The old system was boring after years and years. The adjustment possibilities leave more flexibility, at least in theory, some modifiers are just utmost discouraging. More content should be added to the portal, however I believe not everything can be made matchmade due to player numbers. The possibility to earn top loot for everyone is great, the grind wall is huge, the regular PL resets are just detrimental.

Edited by Dash: 10/3/2025 3:12:36 AMYup as of right now if they don’t remove the portal I will no longer buy any more expansions. I still haven’t bought the edge of fate. I have a feeling the game will completely fall off when BF6 and BO7 drops.

Agree! Destiny is the planetary system, you take that away you take the games identity away. Portal is crap, needs to go. The old system with more rotations or options would be better. For example 2 GMs per week or something like that.

I agree. The portal is out of place for Destiny. Should also remove grading system. Modifiers should be optional. I miss running good ol’ fashioned Strikes. Vanguard Playlist and Nightfall… Miss you!
