It just doesn't make sense to me.
It appears they removed the ability to build into your 6 stats.
Before you could max out up to 4 stats for overpowering.
Now each armor piece only comes with 3 stats and one you have to build into weapons so you can actually get ammo so that puts the focus down to 2 stats which leads to almost zero for the remaining 4.
This is a massive nerf to buildcrafting.
I get they buffed base levels but with the power delta it still feels overwhelmingly weaker than before
So it appears buildcrafting went from 4 stat builds to 2 while overall power relative is shot.
What the F was the point in doing this. I don't see any path that doesn't just make gameplay significantly worse
I mostly stopped playing but even getting through campaign and a little biit of playing after I still could not find ANY build options better than what I have using mostly old armor sets.
I'm so confused how this isn't addressed at all from bungie

Depends largely on how you are building, 70 is your baseline stat not 100, 100 or above grants buffs. If you are raiding then likely you'll want to go Paragon/Super for faster super regen. What build or exotic weapon or armor are you building around is mostly what it comes down to. I went with passive easy builds that have decent survivability: Gunner Actium build on Titan with Killing Tally MG on Solar. Main stat is guns, slight buff to Health due to lowest stat, second best stat is melee. Smoke Bomb Hunter with Khepri's with a Void and Prismatic build depending on missions, whether solo on Void or Prism for team. Easy cheesy Thorn/Necro Prismatic build for high amount of differing Warlock abilities and easy kinetic buffed Poison chains.
