Tapir and refund

Hello, I purchased a copy of the "Year of Prophecy" DLC on Steam as a gift for a friend who lives in SIC region Kyrgyzstan. Since September 16, access to the game has been restricted in that region, making it impossible to use the content. Since then, I have repeatedly tried to request a refund, but Steam support has denied it, citing their standard refund policy (less than 2 hours of playtime and within 14 days of purchase). However, the DLC became inaccessible due to external restrictions beyond the user's control. I was also referred to you as the developer/publisher, with a direct link to contact you, but none of the options provided are relevant to my issue. I kindly ask you to clarify how I can obtain a refund for content that is no longer accessible, and what steps I should take in this situation. Thank you in advance for your help.

UPD: In my latest communication, Steam itself confirmed the existence of restrictions for the game in certain regions. However, they once again redirected me to Bungie for support despite the fact that I had already pointed out that there has been no response from your side. All of my arguments regarding regional restrictions, the loss of access to purchased content, and the complete silence from Bungie have been ignored if they are even being read at all. I have provided enough justification to support my position. In my opinion, the fact that the developer is not responding to this issue only highlights their true attitude toward the community that has supported them for many years. What is especially frustrating is that no prior warning was given about the implementation of these restrictions. I purchased the game as a gift, but now it is completely inaccessible, and I cannot even get a refund not even for the content that hasn’t been released yet. In my view, this entire situation demonstrates Bungie’s dishonest practices.

  • Bungie are cowards and won't grace you with any replies outside of the nothingburger "answer" they keep repeating as if that clarifies anything. The way I got my refund on first try was selecting the "multiplayer doesn't work" option in the dropdown, and then explaining that Bungie has restricted the access to an entire region of the world after selling their latest DLC and other paid content. I specified that I'm encountering the Tapir error code and that I am no longer able to play ANY content I paid for - latest or otherwise. They processed the refund for me within a few hours. Just keep trying and keep mentioning your friend being unable to play content you paid for. Don't expect any respect or decency from Bungie in this situation, they meant to take your money and then scam thousands of people, they will not help you.
