I'm not a very skilled PvP player I'm 54 years old and I find it pretty frustrating how certain weapons feel overpowered. Shotguns, for example, often require just one shot to take someone out, which requires little skill and makes the game feel unbalanced. It's not just shotguns; hand cannons can three-tap players, which adds to the feeling that PvP is out of balance. This makes matches less enjoyable and somewhat unfair. I believe these weapons need to be nerfed to create a more skill-based and fair PvP experience.

There are many cheesy builds besides hand cannon shotgun like scout b-charge titan arc tempest strike hunter and backris are fun asf and for big barrier titans solar nades work wonderfully and other d-o-t (damg over time) -
We are in a meta where Aureaus neutralizer is a problem and you still want to harp on a meta long gone. These days, shotgun handcannon (Spread shot) and a long range weapon is all you need to play meta. I think you are at the wrong era mate

Learn to utilize cover... with the exception of sightline survey, handcannons have some of the slowest ttks, so if you're dying to them you're out of position.
