Bungie it is pretty unanimous at this point that making us chase power to... For whatever reason... Never be more powerful than the content we are required to play to GET POWERFUL DROPS, is not being received well. Received terribly would be a better indentifyer. Remove the required - power delta and have power delta be a modifier that players can use for bonus drops. -20 gives 1 bonus rewards, -30 gives 2 bonus rewards. This would give an incentive to play with a negative power delta by rewarding players who partake, while allowing other players who are just wanting to chill to play the required difficulty at the level they choose. You can still set grandmaster at 400 power, for example, but players at 400 won't always be at a - delta unless they choose.

Forget Delta's. See yourself as the ALPHA! 😆

I don't get why there is a mandatory delta for matchmade activities you'd think they'd just set player stakes and have the activity be on level and it'd be down to Time bonus to reach B+ to A+ while giving a mandatory +1 on lower difficulties and +3-4 on higher ones. So backwards.

I actually like the idea of increasing the power delta to increase the number of drops at the end of the activity. It should be -20 gets you one extra drop, -30 gets you three extra drops (to incentivize actually playing it), and -40+ gets you five extra drops! I’d definitely play it like that.

I've got a better idea... remove Portal altogether, flush it down the toilet and return to a shorter grind with guaranteed Prime drops (dont have to be tier5) from raid and dungeon round completions, ritual activity completions, completing clan checkpoint ranks like 4,7,10,13 and 16, (exotic shard on reset) crucible, IB and ToO match completions, strikes and gambit match completions, completing 10 patrols for Ikora and as a rare drop from random enemies on Patrol, or heroic PE completions.

Whatever they do, they will make lateral moves to keep the grind metrics as high as they can.
