Why should we buy your new game???
Why should we buy your new game coming out???
I mean, you have ignored us as consumers (aka customers). We have been saying the grind is too much, and you made it worse.
A huge majority work, we dont have the time to grind like streamers do. You said Activision was the one doing the micro charges. Well, it got worse.
So why should I trust you will make good on Marathon when you can't make good on Destiny??? It's pretty simple, really. You want the Destiny community to buy (that turd in the yard) Marathon (when it failed miserably in 1994, and is failing again. You alienated the community that backed you (Destiny community) for a game that failed.
If you want us to take you seriously then take us seriously. Start actually Fling listening!!!

that game is absolutely cooked, even if you over look one of the biggest plagiarism scandals in modern gaming, the gameplay loop itself is incredibly boring and the gunplay is outdated by half a decade. On top of that the most likely people to buy it were destiny players who now have moved on even from destiny itself. If it weren’t for the amount of money poured into it already it wouldn’t even release imo.

I'm not buying Marathon regardless of the current state of Destiny or the controversies surrounding it. I am not a fan of the extraction shooter genre so it was a hard pass from me when Marathon was first announced.

For me it's out of the question to buy Marathon or another DLC of Destiny 2. Judging by "Year of Prophecy" and its restructure of Destiny 2. Over the years it has kept his balance, more or less, but now it's way out of proportion. That's it.

2 RepliesAs a D2 player you shouldn’t buy Marathon simply because of Bungie’s many lies and scummy tactics they’ve used over the years. If you haven’t played D2 and you’ve casually wandered into these forums, well first of all, I’m sorry. Secondly, look at the general discontent, lack of communication and genuine acknowledgment of the issues many of us have with D2 from Bungie and think if that’s what you want from the developers of a game you’re likely to play? Thirdly, do you like extraction shooters? Yes? Go play literally any other extraction shooter. Whilst it may not be as pretty or feel as good to shoot as Marathon, I guaran--blam!--ing-tee you’ll have a better time overall. Marathon is DOA. Quickly followed by Bungie as a studio and then sadly this beautiful but horribly scarred game. I’ve made myself sad.😔.

As I've mentioned plenty down in Off Topic when posts like these eventually get moved there, [i]Marathon[/i] is DOA if it's anything short of spectacular. Besides having to contend with some well established titles, it will have to compete with [i]Arc Raiders[/i] that looks amazing and releases at the end of October - plenty of time to build a fanbase and iron out wrinkles, and Massive Entertainment is finally giving [i]Division 2[/i] fans something they've been asking for for literal years, a revamped version of survival mode from [i]The Division [/i], it's due some time in 2026.

The results were 6 yes and 20 no. Then they gave me a week ban.

Marathon is the whole reason Destiny is dying in the first place. It deserves to be dead on arrival, and it will be.

It was never ever going to be a good game, bungie does not seek to please or satisfy their customers anymore. Time to change games.
