New Raids and their mechanics aren't as groundbreaking as a new subclass that you can build with and take into ALL forms of content to clear them in fun new ways. Which brings me to another thing: STOP MAKING DESTINATION ABILITIES YOU CAN'T USE IN ALL CONTENT.
Raids have become too formulaic at this point and don't improve the looter shooter part of the game and even streamers are sick of them despite being the targeted audience.
I miss how Taken King introduced so many new Exotic Weapons that could drop randomly anywhere and how waiting for Xur was actually exciting. The rewards and exotic roll out is getting weaker and weaker each year which cannot sustain the kind of game this is.
Loot and Space Magic. To this day you guys haven't been able to replicate the awe of getting Gjallarhorn. Be brave and make more fun and cool -blam!- and activities that challenge you in smart combat encounters not in symbols, dunking, and standing on plates.
Edit:
If we absolutely have to keep doing this, I think Dungeons and Exotic Missions strike a better balance of mechanics and combat and can be soloed.

While I don't entirely agree about the raids because I enjoy them, but it is true that most don't interact with them. I'd still rather they spend time on raids over the damn metroid ball or the portal or another social space coming in Renegades... But yeah, most of our subclasses still have only 1 charged melee ability, like what are we doing Bungo? The subclasses seems like the easiest layup for Bungie to gain favor from us...I just don't get it. I would really like them to invest in replayable activities that are actually fun and build upon them. Onslaught had so much potential imo, I grew up playing cod zombies and halo odst firefight. I would kill if they just introduced an endless version of onslaught with actual pve leaderboards to compare to the rest of the world. Pvp could use a ground war variant with vehicles like we had in D1 or hell even give us space battles with our ships.
